I had my plate originally mounted on my bumper(Thanks to the dealer). Later on I purchased a USWORKMILLS plate holder. Really loved how it looked and definitely suited the car.
But recently (past 3 months) ive just completely removed the front plate and been driving everywhere in ontario, haven't been pulled over yet...TouchWood Illl never get puled over

I didn't have to pay duty with mine. By its really luck of the draw on that.

I never have a tow hook mount before so was just curious before actually buying one. I guess if you guys don't have any issues then probably it is not a big matter.

I don't think people have issues with them, it seems to be that most don;t like the location. The one thing you do have to look out for is if you have front parking sensors, it could set them off.

I got 4 tickets in 10 days with my car.
I purchased two mounts and one of them blocked the front collision sensor and the second one looked like shit.
So, I bent the top and bottom of my plate over so it would fit in front of the grill and its held on by 4 small zip ties. I had to drill some new holes in the plate for the zip ties to go through.
Note: Do not cut your license plate otherwise they will ticket you for defacing your plate. Apparently bent does not fall under the same laws.
I have attached a photo of what I did, its not perfect, and its not the most pretty, but its tucked away, I am now legal, I have not been pulled over for it since I did it, and I think it looks better then any other option for a front plate.

I haven't mounted it just yet. Was about to last night and then questioned if the tape would hold on it's own without drilling as per the instructions.

Wondering if anyone has mounted the Sto N Show with just the tape that is already applied to the metal mount? I don't want to drill the little hole, even though it will be out of site.

Don't think the tape will hold especially at hwy speeds. When it comes off and it will come off it will do more visible damage than a hole on the bottom non visible side of the bumper.

Finally had a chance to mount the Sto N Sho today. I chose not to screw in the part attached to the car, the tape is quite strong...I can't imagine that it will fall off at any time, in fact I would be shocked. I plan to keep an eye on it though (check it after every drive), just to be sure. Here are some pics - nice piece and keeps you legal and looks very clean still.

Looks great! Like that it's a clean 90 degree angle and pretty far from the bumper itself. Any protection on the bolts behind the plate to prevent them from knocking into the bumper at higher speeds?

I have thought about it, but haven't put anything there just yet. I'm not a fan of the acorn style bolt however, it protects the screw from hitting the bumper. That said, the plate doesn't really move, the whole piece is quite rigid and very sturdy. I made sure to install the undermount bracket with just enough space so that there is ample clearance. You could move it back some with hand pressure but not enough for it to touch the bumper. I'll likely put some sort of protection behind the nuts just in case.

Well, got the mount in the mail today but I won't be needing it. My car arrived yesterday at the dealer, just got an email they already fucking drilled the shit out of the bumper yesterday already. FML.
