DCT Fluid Change

Been looking to change the oil in my DCT.
Did a search & have been unable to find any info on DCT Fluid Servicing.
Have heard from my Mechanic that our F8X should run Pentosin FFL4.

Would this Be BMW spec Fluid?
Also what's the volume of oil to be changed?

Thanks.

Why would you want your DCT fluid changed? Your car is still under warranty isn't it? i'm pretty sure that it's "lifetime" and BMW doesn't recommend changing the DCT fluid.

It's 8.4L for DCT. Whomever will carry out this change should know and have ISTA as the procedure requires specific steps to be followed. (In case of replacing transmission,...)

BMW in ISTA only list part nbs for the oil DCTF-1 or DCTF-1+, no make is listed.

Thanks.
Hmm... it does sound complicated.
Do we really follow manufacturer recommendation that it lasts a "lifetime" ?
Not quite so comfortable with that interval.

It's complicated if you don't know what you are doing. As to your other question, it's been debated to death with no conclusion. Do what makes you feel better
