Front Windshield Coated Along With Vehicle?
For those that have some sort of ceramic/nano-coating on the car (CQuartz, Ceramic Pro, etc.) did you have the front windshield coated?
Car is going in for coating and need to decide whether to have the front windshield coated. I'm concerned about the windshield wipers skipping if the windshield is coated. Watched some videos of cars with windshield coating and the rain water rolling up and away, but clarity appears worse than simply using the wipers. On the other hand, perhaps it will make the windshield slightly stronger? We all know the front windshield can use as much help as possible. Thanks for any input. |

I have CQUARTZ on my windshield. It's now about 1 year old.
When freshly done, water beads so well that you almost don't need wipers. When fresh, it does skip a bit. After 1 year, wipers don't skip anymore and the water still beads alright. I don't regret having the CQUARTZ. As to if it will make the windshield slightly stronger, no. The glass of these windshields is so soft, never saw glass soft like this. |
