The OEM.

In my experience, The stock exhaust after about 2 to 3 thousand miles initial break in sounds pretty decent. Might want to give it time to break in before you lay out cash for aftermarket pipes. I've just crossed 7k on my odometer and the sound is oh so sweet all over the power band.

Any updates from people that have had this vehicle for a while now? What's the best setup to go for for better sound in stock M4? Not necessarily louder but more of a deep sound?

Save your money and just turn off the exhaust valves.

Getting my Armytrix catback system installed in a few hours. I'll let you know how it is, coming from a completely stock system.

sss

Akrapovic if you have $5k to drop. Quality and weight saving alone is second to none. Or you can just disconnect the 2 molex connectors in back of oem exhaust. Make sure valves are open and enjoy till you decide which route your gonna go.

Our Valvetronic Exhaust System does exactly that. It really smooths out the rasp that the F8x's produce and delivers a nice deep tone. Check it out below! Also check out your PMs - I would love to chat more!

That definitely helps some but the car needs more volume, especially inside the cabin. I've yet to see an option that addresses this (IMO) deficiency.

Judging from YouTube videos to me it's AA mid with Dinan rear non ZCP. The forced burble in all these cars today is starting to annoy me.

I have the AWE with resonator and i live in a pretty small neighborhood that likes to bitch about things and i've had no complaints.

I'm considering the resonated switch path. Are valves open that brutal?

remus (now that I got to hear it) and AWE non-res sound fantastic if you are looking to replace the whole system

or you could do what I did which a lot of people liked...downpipes, res delete and replace with xpipe, valves constant open
