Hi Guys, BMW Canada doesn't want to help me and keeps telling me to speak to dealer. Dealer doesn't want to connect it for me saying that salesman didn't order it by mistake.

Is there anyone else outside of dealer or bmw Canada that could help?

BMW Canbec is most definitely a dealership to avoid in Montreal.

Connected drive is part of the premium package. Did you order the premium package? Do you have any email showing that you requested for connected drive to be added?

I am not sure if anything can be done afterwards. I thought it was something that has to be ordered up front as option6AK?

what does your vin dump say, does it not list connected drive as a factory option?

Dealer should be able to add an FSC for a feature you did not buy and program your car (for a fee) that does not require a hardware modification. But most dealers are just idiots...

If you ordered the feature and it isn't working or not there, I'd definitely then call your SA and ask them to fix under warranty.
Dealer and BMW Canada told me it's not their issues and "sorry".

I'm shocked after all these years at Audi never having these kind of issues. I like the cars but terrible brand and dealer experience almost nullifying the great car.

Which feature do you miss in Connected Drive? Sorry, but if you didn't order it, then don't expect a freebie I can ask my master tech if you'd like if they do FSC retrofits for connected drive and the cost? or you can go aftermarket for a retrofit !

Had it on my 17' and rep told me I'd have it on my 18'. Only difference was CP and MPE Exhaust was added so bad on me for believing my rep.

It is obvious he was under the impression it was ordered when the salesman screwed up. Of course from a legal standpoint, the ownership is on the buyer to check everything before signing, but mistakes happen.

I assumed what I wrote was clear but maybe you need a recap:

2017 came with full connected drive.
Told my rep I want exact same features on my 2018 but add CP and MPE.

2018 doesn't have it and rep told me they made a mistake and went to BMW Canada and they told them it's between dealer and client. Dealer came back to me and said BMW Canada doesn't want to cover it and they won't cover it either, even though they covered it on my 17'.

Clear enough for you?

Based on what you're saying, this is clearly the dealers fault for not adding the options you asked for. The dealer needs to find a way to fix this. I don't know if it can be added now but they need to owe up to their mistake.

Ask to speak with the Sales Mgr, then the Managing Director. Go right to the top.

Yes I think I might be ready to go to a new dealer but from what I heard Laval is same owner as Canbec.

Yes same parent owning company , but there's a guy there that Benzima knows well and wants to really help the community. Actually two of them come frequently to our meets. But in your case, I doubt they would offer you something for free when it was another dealer mistake. If missing that feature is that important to you, no harm in trying?

It can most certainly be retrofitted by the dealer. I know because I did it. $600, however if they aren't willing to absorb it then that's a different story.

Go see Wojtek Zoltak at BMW West Island they know how to do it. His first name is pronounced Voy-tek and he's the sales director.

Hate to blame the victim but did you not inspect the order? My dealer always wants a signed copy verifying everything is correct. Which is cool because they give me a copy and I know everything is right.

Yes it's my fault I didn't get them to deliver it the way they did my 17'. I assumed that since I was dealing with the same sales rep at the same dealership 10 months after I bought the 17' M3 that I wouldn't have any issues.
