Walnut Blasting S55?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey guys.

I'm coming from an N55, which i installed a catch can on and found out was not necessary (no blow by at all).

I've seen some people do walnut blasting on the n55, but only on higher mileage motors.

The s55, however, i have not heard of anyonen doing walnut blasting on?

Does this motor need the same procedure?

Personally I haven't seen it much on the S55. I came from an N54, where I saw it much more often. I did mine on a 335i at around 35k, really wasn't bad since I had both the BMS catch can and a Mishimoto can via RB turbo external PCV after 25k.

Interesting. I saw NOTHING in 68k miles on the n55 335.

Not necessary on the S55...as with the N55, much-improved PCV doesn't produce very much oil vapor.

Agreed. Issue primarily existed on the N54.
