Not that post, look through his other posts - There's a trend of being overly abrasive for no good reason in response to otherwise innocuous posts; or interjecting little digs just to be a dick. This trend tends to grow worse than get better. I'm happy to be proven wrong but just my useless perception.

Interesting insight here--
http://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars...ions-are-dead/ Lamborghini R&D Chief Explains Why Manual Transmissions are Dead Maurizio Reggiani, head of R&D at Lamborghini, loves a true manual transmission. But in an interview with R&T, he explains why you'll never see one again in a new Lamborghini. |

Haha, sure but I think his style has been accepted here for some time.
To me there's a big difference between an ornery, curmudgeony type who's been around for a long time, has contributed significantly, and has more or less earned the right to be impatient with us plebeians now and then (not in reference to Gruss specifically but in general) VS. someone who has just joined and right off the bat makes ridiculous statements like: "uh no. 911 > anything M." (We've seen this many times before and how many times has he been banned now and reincarnated under a different name?); or "aka hobbyist. no one cares." (Actually, I'm sure many including myself find Can's posts useful and track days are a hobby for a great lot of us); or "Congrats and makes sense but the worst looking m3 made to date." (Way to congratulate someone on their recently purchased M3 and then slap him in the face at the same time!) Look, maybe Ben is a great guy and I'm always willing to give the benefit of the doubt but maybe just ease up a little. |

Another one of these threads jeeeeezzzzzz.
I went from a 2015 f80 (6sp) to a 2012 audi s4 (7sp dual clutch) and this was actually my first ever dual clutch. I'd love the chance to drive an f80 with DCT, but I also got the 6sp for the fun factor. **I made the switch due to job complications - got a great deal on the s4 with 70k miles on it. In the audi, I actually chose the DCT model because APR offers both a ridiculous ECU tune as well as a truly amazing TCU tune. If you've never driven one, the older audi DCT is the most comfortable dual clutch transmission around once you throw the tune on it. . . Its genuinely unbelievable. That reminds me I should do a write up between the two cars - I'm probably one of very few who went from an f80 "backwards" into a B8 Audi. I genuinely love both cars. . . F*** it stay tuned for a review lol its time

I'd like to read your review. Went from '11 S4 S-tronic stock no Drive Select, to '14 335i MSport 6MT, to 15 F80 DCT. I like the DCT much better than the S-tronic which was very good. The shifter/ shift pattern makes more sense coming from a MT, feels more raw, and i like the shift mode selection.
