That was a performance driving school day and not a "track day". They are different. A free PDS day includes a day of driving and hotel accommodations at either the Spartanburg or Thermal locations. The value of this is at least $850. The track day is at certain tracks scattered in various locations this year's cost was $250.

You know I'm not sure what it is - but I do know the value stated was approx $800 - I'll have to take a gander when I get back from vacation in a week

You got a one-day car control school invite to one of the BMW Performance Driving Schools. You did not get a Track Day voucher.

So then "one day car control" is same as a one day PDS?

PDS is the school. Car Control is just one of the class offerings:
  • Teen school
  • Driver's School
  • M School
  • Advance M School

I bought my M3 in December, got the USB drive about a month ago. There was an advertisement for driving school, but no offer or voucher included. So I basically got the USB drive.

I took delivery of my m3 in March and about four months later to the day received an email with the offer for the free drivers school.

I did not finance or lease through BMW FS.

I had previously received the USB stick with promo materials included in the box but no free school offers at that time.

You can definitely stack a discount (like CCA) with any other M School and use a credit to lower the cost to you.

And you'll probably get 2 invites as well with the 2 Ms.
I called earlier this week to find out. This is true, and they are allowing me to credit both gifts towards the advanced M school.

That's odd. Leased X1 in family and they sent car control clinic voucher (value $849) that anyone in household could use. I could even apply towards m school. Waiting for new m5 to drop so I can book and hopefully get chance to drive that beast.

Hey guys. I received the offer and decided to just stick with the regular driving school (the $849 package for free). Anyone with experience with this? Ive had a bunch of Ms and just bought an F80 M3 a few months back. What cars do they let you drive when doing the basic performance school?

340, M240 maybe the 5 series. No Ms

Looks like there's 3 gift levels:
1) 2-nights hotel with car control school + USB
2) car control school + USB
3) USB
There is also #4: Nothing! I didn't even get a thank you letter

I got one after 335 lease in 2014 but did not get one for f80 purchase (maybe because I did PCD?)

Btw, PCD at Spartanburg is kind of a waste of time from a driving experience standpoint. It's too much geared towards complete novices and there is not much seat time. The $250 m track day experience at Thermal was more worth it

I was able to use the CCA discount for VIR December 2011. BMW NA probably removed the CCA discount afterwards, but I have moved onto the BMW Driving Experiences in Germany.

How are the BMW Driving Experiences in Germany? I'm guessing CCA won't apply to those. The Performance Driving School also does trips to the Ring maybe once or twice a year.

Outstanding in Germany. CCA discounts don't apply, but half the price including hotels/meals, except for transportation. The tracks appeared limited this year, as SPA is expensive to rent. I have heard great things about the Snow & Ice programs in Sweden from the BMW Driving Experience staff, just south of attic circle and waiting for the winter events to be released online to be book for 2018. During next months ED, I'm taking my 3rd training with them, BMW Security Training BMW Intensive Training for Professional Drivers. The PC trip to the ring is coordinated with the BMW driving experience staff, using their cars, and instructors. I have turned down the PC trip in the past as it conflicted with my yearly mediterranean vacation.
