BMS Stage 1 with F80 CP

I'm contemplating adding the BMS stage 1 to my 2017 M3 but am not sure how it plays with the competition package. I've read some threads about this specific combination but the info was a little vague to me.

Is it worth adding? Any downsides? I'm not interested in going all the way to the full JB4 (at least not yet). I want to stay close to stock and not invest a lot of money - at this time.
Thanks in advance.

The BMS website doesn't make any distinction, but I'll let more knowledgeable folks chime in. If you end up wanting to pull the trigger, may want to check this one out.

I see BPM Flash tune as the way to go... It's $1,200, but seems to be well worth it

Regardless of which tune you chose (BM3 under $700) you should look on the classified section if you go with a BMS JB product. Everyone and their mother is selling them these days.

It's compatible with the CP cars. The JB4 offers more power and better performance, but if you're on a budget, can't beat the Stage1.

Get a CS flash from a reputable company and call it a day!

the flashing over OBD for F-Series has kinda killed the JB4

Where do you see price reduction?
Same price as before on their website.

JB1 is so easy to install, proven and cheap that you cant argue with it.

I love my JB1, and i went 11.6 on all season tires on it.

The best part about it, i can take it off in 15 min whenever needed

you can also flash back to stock in 2 min and hardest thing you need to do is plug in the OBD connector.

Cant go wrong with the JB stage 1
If you want to buy it used, get it from someone you trust, the risk is not worth it.
