Beautiful pics.

Am I the only one wondering how the 437M wheels will look on an E92 M3?

I was reading not too long ago about carbon fiber driveshafts and found a bimmerpost thread on the issue. One if the members explained that because of the lighter driveshaft components you could skew the number on a dyno jet because you can spin the rollers faster. Since the F80 has a CF driveshaft can this be effecting the numbers? I posted the
Link below. On the third page is the person's explanation

I'm very impressed with the power of this car but the weight not so much. That's basically 3600 lbs and that's no light weight. Oh well here's hoping the M2 will be close to 3350lbs. I know I can dream and hope
It's a sedan with a DCT weighing 90 pounds more than the manual and it's a well equipped sedan at that. Those options are going to add a good bit of weight.

It's not 3600 pounds in stripper form. It is 3600 pounds in well equipped form.

A dyno output or number doesn't mean sh*t.
Dyno's are only useful for comparing different settings (mod) or different cars, and only when both dyno runs have been done back-to-back. (= same temp. and atmospheric conditions)

Definitely gobs of power...Plus EAS's dyno consistently puts down lower numbers (more accurate?) compared to most dynojet graphs shown on here. Although, for comparison's sake, the BMS M3 dynoed almost the same numbers stock /w extra octane booster...about 5whp/5lbs more. It is definitely underrated.

1) this is in ca where temps and humidity are almost always the same year round

2) these numbers are sae corrected for conditions

3) this is a dyno which has consistently shown an e9x between 345-360 whp. Literally 50-100 dynos from eas show this.

4) it is very similar to another Cali dyno of an f80 done by bms

So yes, it's being used as a comparative tool, comparing the e9x to the f80.

Those are M5 numbers!!!

Dammit...regretting my long warranty and maintenance plan on the 335i; I have until 2018 to hop into of these.

I do think the M performance exhaust would sound sick on it, stock is ok.

Thanks for posting pics. Very nice.

Is there a single drain on the oil pan?
I'm a little confused by your math

An e9x makes 350-360 whp on this same dyno. If you subtract 15-20 hp from that, you are at 340 whp.

340 + 12% for dt loss is 380.8.

So, either your drivetrain loss numbers are way off or you are saying the e9x is massively overrated since it's claimed 414 hp.

Either way, I think your numbers and calculations are off.

The most relevent numbers are that this car makes approximately 50-60 whp more than the highest reading e9x m3s on this same dyno.
Just to nitpick, his (and your) math is not correct for drivetrain loss.

The proper calculation is 340/(1-0.12)=386.

I agree that his assumption still seem way off though. On typical inertia dynos, the sum of drivetrain loss, tire loss and inertial impacts are more in the 12%-18% range though. By removing 22hp and then using the lowest "drivetrain loss" number, he is sort of double dipping. And then makes it worse with the wrong math.
Thank you the incorrect math was driving me nuts....

Awesome numbers, and sound quite frankly.

I like the little peak right before redline, makes running to redline worth while.

They made it easy to get rid of the secondary cats as well... but with those numbers I guess why bother other than for sound and get rid of a little extra heat.

I will say, I'm a bit disappointed at the 3590lbs... I don't want to start a war but my 335i weighs about 3510 full nav and interior full gas without a single piece of carbon fiber or weight reduction other than a lighter HPF exhaust. I thought the new M's were supposed to be in the 3400lbs ballpark?? Extra options extra weight??
