Porsche Ontario is trying lure me. Haha! They want to buy my 992 and they are offering this GT3. I’ll have to pass.

I can’t. I passed on the last 2018 GT3 from my buddy at New Century BMW too. I just can’t give up the 992 for an older GT3. I would still find myself longing for a 992 GT3. I’m better off waiting for my MSRP allocation from Porsche Santa Barbara, which would cost me what this 2018 is priced at. The 992’s wider body, upgraded tech, etc. is just far more appealing to me.

Sedan_Clan are they offering a straight swap or do you have to bring money to the table?

If I were interested in trading, they would apply the equity from my 992 towards the 991. I owe 92k and I’m sure I could, at the very least, get close to MSRP on my car, so I would have +/- $65k of equity. I would rather apply $65k to a $195k 992 GT3.

It was silver. Really nice car, but the moment I sat in it I knew I couldn’t go back to that after being in my heavily optioned 992. Once my GT3 carbon fiber buckets arrive, I’ll have even less incentive to get a GT3 if I’m being honest……..but when the allocation is offered I’ll likely still spring for it. For me personally, it’s the GT3 aesthetics that attract me more than the NA vs. FI debate. I like turbocharged motors just as much as naturally aspirated motors.

If you haven’t, you have to drive one, over 5k. Nice snappy NA feel to it. No buttons on the steering wheel. But if you prefer more modern tech, A 992 gt3 is a better choice in the long run.
