Look what I found today - SprintBooster
I've had my M3 for about 2 months now anyway I was cleaning my closet and happen to find my sprint booster I used on my 2006 M3. I checked out the part to see if it could be used on my current M3. It was the same part. Today I put it on my M3. Holly shit, the car is even more of a rocket. On throttle response, I usually drive in sport plus. Using this sprint booster in sport plus it was way too aggressive, very sensitive. I know many of you think, as I did, that the sport plus takes the lag out. It does some but with the sprint booster it makes the car feel freaking fast.
The car responds very quick. Glad I did not get rid of it. Have any of you tried this little gadget? |

It is a device that sits inline with the accelerator pedal position wire. It changes the way the pedal position is transmitted to the DME making the pedal more "responsive". It is pretty pointless in my opinion. It does not increase power output at all and its effects can be replicated by simply moving your foot faster/harder.

It works. I've had 4 m cars. Ive used it on each one.Your correct it does not increase horsepower or torque but it makes signal from the accelerator very responsive. People who knock it have not tried it. I even have one on my X5. Its a fun factor. Isn't that why we buy these cars?

Yes, it works at making the throttle pedal an on/off switch.
Totally useless gizmo IMO .

I have installed quite a few of these in different vehicle applications.
Some cars it works very well and some it does not work at all. It is a cheap mod to get rid of the electronic delay when pressing the accelerator pedal. |
