That's for the M3CS. They will have a fair bit more M4CSs to move, with about 1 out of 5 M4 coupe being a CS.

Although I am starting to question if we'll even get the M4 CS on this side of Atlantic with still no pricing nor release date anounced .

...I can say I think the interior is pretty cool and I'd get it if I could even if pushed up the price quite a bit (although I HATE the "CS" on the dash, ugly as fuck), but what I'd prefer even more is the package CanAutM3 mentioned.

There was GTS in the Welt and ZERO people were taking pictures by it. I barely saw anyone glance at it. But the M4 Speed Yellow CP 'vert was really popular.

The product danger for BMW is not price; it's that they have no F8x halo car, so they lose the very people they need to keep their cars cool.

That makes sense, with the bespoke engine and novel (at the time) weight saving measures. Perhaps the F8X cars will be sought out in the future, when hybrids and electric power presumably take over. We shall see.

I'd rather buy a almost brand new GTS for probably the same $ after few options? WTF is BMW thinking?

If the M2cs has 80k type pricing I'm sporting an 718 spyder for 10 grand more.

I think you also forget that at 90k, a base 911 outperforms the M4, M4 CP/CS and if you threw cup tires on it would match the M4 GTS or beat it despite having a 130 hp deficit. It’s jsut a more capable car and can use its power better. And it’s a lot more fun to drive on and off track too. The Carrera T more so.
Wow - how do you go from the name "Motorsportsenterprise" to "Funf6cyl?" Wonder how long until you get banned yet again...

You said it just right. Software, cosmetic parts along with new badge can't justify the price bump.

Its all about marketing and selling as many M cars as possible.

I lose all the way around. I sold my F80 for a 991 GTS. But if I had a choice, I would rather spend 40% less on an M3. But it has to be great out of the box, which the F80 is not. I cant pony up $100k for a CS when I can drive my 991 GTS for the same price.
I moved 911.1 C2S to M3 because of the performance/functionality I can get out of M3 with less $$. If it's exact same price, I wouldn't move from 911 to M3.

Thanks, yeah I was gonna go amg, but they wanted a ridiculous premium so I bailed, plus now I have the CP and the cubby bin!

And yeah, keeping that shit clean with the top down all the time is going to be a dumpster fire

Damn that's pricy but that's what you'd expect for a specialized M car.

That's not really a fair assessment.

For $32k over the base M3, the CS gets you:
  • DCT
  • Different springs (CP)
  • Stiffer anti-roll bars (CP)
  • Different seats (CP)
  • Full leather trim
  • 19"-20" staggered wheels and tires
  • CF vented hood
  • CF lip
  • CF diffuser
  • CF trunk lid spoiler
  • A different exhaust
  • Recalibrate EDC, DCT, EPS and e-diff

The real question is if it is worth $16k more than a similarly equipped M3 CP? That is where I find the value to be relatively thin.

True. I commented only on the M3 since the thread was specific to that model. They may have more M4 CS to move, but it will be in production quite a bit longer. Over the six months the M3 CS is produced, it might end up being one of five too. It’s hard to a make guess since we don’t know the current production number split between M3 and M4.

Curious how you calculate $16k. It would be $25k USD, no?

Admittedly one thing we do not yet know is if the CS will include standard some items from the existing list of optional equipment. Take Icon headlights for example - I could see those being standard for the CS (some have gotten them free on the base/ZCP M3 too, but that’s a gray area). That increases value, though not necessarily on a dollar per dollar basis if it wasn’t something you were already going to add anyway.

I added DCT, full leather, executive package, MP CF front splitter, MP CF diffuser and MP CF trunk spoiler for the CP and CS to be "similarly equipped", which adds up to about $81k.

The CS' rear deck spoiler (Gurney flap) is more about function than aesthetics.

maybe to a collector this is worth it?

I'm not seeing how it's worth +50% of what I paid for my f80

I would have loved a $10k option pack to get the cup 2 and full coilovers and better exhaust instead of this
