Bimmerlink App and a Carista Bluetooth adapter. Valve control when ever you want. Easiest way I have found.

This app is only for app store? Not for android?

how does this have the exhaust control feature built in but bimmercode does not?

I use it with IPhone so yes it's only for IOS. This app is scaled down and offers most only display functions with exhaust and ASD control. I have it paired with a Carista BT OBD adapter. Works flawlessly for me.

Since this has a Bluetooth function, does this mean you can't use your phone for calling if its linked to this?

I think most phones support multiple simultaneous BT connections, no?

I have a Dinan axel back, it's amazing! Love it - may add their mid pipe in the future if I find a good deal on one, but the exhaust alone is worth the money

Yeah my phone still functions as per normal. No issues, gives you a little noise when you want it. But to be honest the best sound I have heard is still the MPE with AA mid pipe. Hell even a stock setup with AA mid sounds pretty damn good, so much deeper. I have an RS6 with twin turbo V8 and the AA mid is the only thing that sounds a little similar in deep tone.

I have MPE and I coded out the exhaust valves! Also turned off active sound and I'm happier!

How do you code out the exhaust valves?

i read reviews on the app store and it says it reverts back to stock valve functions after about 15 minutes:

App will not connect if you have your phone connected to the car’s hands free or Apple car play. In fact the car will over ride the connection to the OBD transmitter. Also if you are buying this for exhaust flap control, the feature will timeout to default oem setting in about 15minutes. Save your money for something else, I wish I did.

Is this true?

We coded them open all the time! Don't know what he used to do so...but it's done and no error codes....turned off active sound and now I hear the car for what it should be!

Can you find out how the valve coding was done?

For me I had to leave the app open and the valves stay open. I don't have car play so I can't answer that question. My phone worked as per normal with OBD connected. I have since moved on to BM3 and haven't used the app in a while.

This is absolutely correct. Just bought the app and though it works, it reverts back to closed every 10-15 minutes. Worst part is developer is aware of this but chooses to omit this info from AppStore. I was told to refresh the app every 10-15 mins.... sure let me do that while I drive... false advertising at its finest, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, might have been worth it when it was $10 but now it’s $35.99 in Canadian AppStore, definitely not worth it.

I have a BMS controller and AA mid.

The valve control is a must when paired with mid for those early cold starts if you want to keep the neighbours happy.

Overall happy with this considering the cost is a fraction of full and CS already sounds good.

Have an Eisenmann rear & AA MidPipe.

Sounds perfect but might be putting it up for sale.
