Those 18" look pretty darn good
The design also looks really light. The colour also seems to be ferric grey. |

The winter wheels that look like those are the 18" 640M. They are cast, narrower and in silver colour. |

No need to have your dreams shattered. I am betting the standard wheels are lighter than the 19's. From the BMW website standard features list:
V Spoke forged light alloy wheels (Style 513M), 18 x 9.0 front, 18 x 10.0 rear; and 255/40 front, 275/40 rear performance tires1

18s look great and thats just enough fat on tires to be safe in the pot holes.

They don't look to bad when they're nice and new and clean. I prefer a larger wheels on this body. I'd like to see what a 21" wheel looks like. Not really a performance set up I understand , but it'll look really aggressive with about a 2" drop

I started out convinced I would get the 18s so I might not have to replace them every time I hit a big pothole, then thought they looked too small so decided on the 19s. Now seeing these and how well the standard brakes discs fill the wheel, I'm wavering again. I've bought a lot of new cars and never had so much trouble deciding how to spec them.

However, the big question is if the weight of the wheel/tire combination is any different between the 18" and 19"... |

Very nice. Was tied at the top of my list with AW. However don't know if I'd go with the CF roof with this color. It just doesn't look as hot on dark colors. Might be leaning towards AW now.
