Just Called corporate - they said i should take it to another dealership to see if they have the same diagnosis.

They think Warranty should cover it, and i should speak to the service manager before we take it a step further.

Look forward to sharing the rest of my journey about this topic.

I def wouldn't mention that the previous dealer refused to cover under warranty with the next dealership.
Unless that info is somehow already shared amongst dealerships.

It sounds like its going to work out, but sucks that you have to go through the hassle. I disagree with Irishsig, there likely will be a record that the car was evaluated under warranty as I am assuming the other dealer is getting paid by BMW for that evaluation at a minimum.

I think I would be upfront with the next Service Manager and set my expectation that it should be covered as BMWNA also stated. Here is an opportunity for this dealership to earn your business by doing the right thing; let them know that.

Be clear with the SM that if they are not going to cover something, then you expect to see some evidence of what they are talking about. Pictures are easy enough to take, get copies so that you can post here and get other's input and build knowledge of possible issues with these cars.
