Any chance m3 sedan will have cf roof as standard or option?

I dont see the reason why the coupe was the only car that had one in the e9x. I have a sedan e90 m3 and wish I had the cf roof.... any chance when I upgrade to the new 2014 will it have cf roof panel? I realize its all speculation until released but any prototypes showing this option

Garage List
2011.5 BMW M3  [10.00]
2004 BMW M3  [10.00]
Would be nice to have that option.

Cf-roof, best place to save weigth and make center gravity lower, looks fantastic and show that Bmw really wan´t make F80 light. I think is mistake if Bmw don´t offer cf-roof optional. Actually Bmw has expanded Moses Lake plant, they can make 3000 tonnes of carbon weave a year, one of the biggest carbon yarn producers. i3 carbon parts cost only third as much than composite roof on the M3.

I think there is an good/great possibility that the F80 would get an carbon-roof, but I think also that if he get one, it wouldn´t be visible because it would be painted in the same color as the rest of the car.

The expensive "Sicht-Carbon"-Roofs are for the coupes only -> F82 and F86 !!!

2014 M3 (F80) Carbon Fiber Roof ?

May have missed this - but haven't heard whether or not the upcoming sedan will be offered with a carbon fiber roof option. Does anyone have in info, one way or another?

Spy photos have indicated the F80 has the CF roof with the double hump.

Look at the F80 M3 stories and spy pics on the homepage. Bimmerpost already posted about the M3 having CF roof.

BMW would be letting everyone down if they didn't offer it! like others have stated looks like it will be offered on the sedan from what we can see from spy shots and insider info

Word. It would be a huge error not to as it really helps makes the car even more worth the premium and makes it that bit more special. Plus, it helps show they're serious about cutting weight. If they're not, I may as well get another M5.

Yeah, because the M5 is really a lightweight car compared to an M3.

I believe that was his point, if BMW doesn't cut the M3's weight he'll just stick with a heavy M5.
