I do know Garrett is one of the main core suppliers though, so I would at least hope they make a better intercooler than most. I would love to see how they stack up against the competition.
Garrett is the unique watercooler that i would ride.

I just upgraded to the Garrett unit after my OEM one started leaking.
If anyone is interested in some data logs, let me know and I can post some.

Could you log a 3-4-5 highway pull in a hot area. SoCal still warm…? Would be nice to see how it cools with your under-hood cone intakes.

Need throttle, engine speed, gear, vehicle speed, and IAT

Temps in my area are in the low 70's right now but I'll see what I can find

Might have been me. Bend is tuning my M2C on Kratos right now, I had the Forge unit paired with the Wagner radiators but they weren't real happy with it. We had 28-29psi 4th gear WOT data showing 15-18degC AIT rise on the Forge chargecooler on a single pull, I switched to the Wagner chargecooler and went to 3-4degC IAT rise in similar ambient temps. The tuners weren't pushy, but they were right to suggest a change. Also, FWIW, the Wagner (even though it's massive) clears the GTS style aluminum hood without any cutting.

This was actually a Euro location car but glad to hear about the upgrade and the info on the hood! What hood did you go with btw and how was fitment? I've been thinking about doing the upgrade to a carbon...

Would've been nice to see Wagner vs CSF vs mishimoto vs (enter brand here)

I think we ALL knew VRSF would be a downgrade. Look at their welding. It speaks volumes.

I have seen a picture long time ago but any chance you can post a happy snap of yours where it has been trimmed?

If minimal I will contemplate purchasing it etc

I went with the Suvneer aluminum hood. Actually, this is my second identical hood in 2 years, the first one got damaged in a freak storage accident. Both hoods fit exceptionnaly well for the price, probably a 9 out of 10 both times.

This was in my build thread; I believe I cut more off than needed iirc.

The way I read the article, the mishimoto being a single pass is a downgrade. The csf has never been an upgrade and other companies have already discredited that cooler so no need to drag all of them through the mud. I think it was respectable for them to give their best recommendation and leave it at that.

I have nothing bad to say about my Forge unit. It fit well, had exceptional build quality and truly looked unique with the elimination of the chargecooler reservoir. But at the end of the day, with the ASR EVO's pushing close to 30psi it just wasn't able to handle the extra heat.
I think their choice of a bar and plate core is what is holding this unit back, bar and plate flows better but is less efficient than tube and fin at dissipating heat.
For a car on stock turbo's and a mild tune, it's a great upgrade relability wise to the stock unit.

Wagner is solid, i have a bunch of before and after logs when i'm on the track, even after 20 min on 90+ deg day i don't hit 130F. Depending on what you are doing its 10-20 deg better.

Anyone have any data of the Wagner primary+aux heat exchangers paired with the stock charge cooler?

Just not keen in trimming the bonnet for clearance.

The top mount does all the exhange with the intake air so you're not doing any upgrade at that point unless the car is doing extensive road course work. Also you can get a GTS hood upgrade if it's a big bother.

Have both a Wagner & PWR in the shop - will be doing some comparison testing at some point. The Wagner has been excellent so far and is our go to on customer cars & sales recommendations - but always like to try new things hence bringing the PWR in. Looking forward to trying it out especially for our competition builds.

I have a stock hood and fits perfect after a tiny trim of the extremely thin piece as shown in the previous post for M2C only.
