Code P1339 and P1338

Yesterday while driving I got a "drivetrain malfunction" car went into limp mode and I got these codes. When I turn it on now I get the "drivetrain malfunction" and its in limp mode.

"P1339 (This fault code is detected whenever the reference position of the intake camshaft deviates from the permitted position)

P1338 (This fault code is detected whenever the reference position of the exhaust camshaft deviates from the permitted position)"

Car is FBO, pure turbos stg2, PI E85 tune by Cary. Also had a crank bolt capture but no actual hub fixed.

Anyone seen this before?

I hate to say but I think you spun your hub. The CBC-only solution has been shown to fail (overcome friction disc) around 700-750TQ. You're running bigger turbos, custom E tune, plus PI…which is in that range.

I always thought that if you spin the hub your car doesn't even turn on any more. I was able to drive mine home after it happened for about 20 miles. It still turns on too

Hopefully its not too bad. Will definitely get the hub fixed though

When you run into the Over TQ situation where the bolt is tight but the engine torque still slips the friction washer then the slip is usually minor. If off only a tiny bit the DME knows and will still let the car start.

I hear that Litchfield checks the computer for detected slip before they'll do their CBC install.
