I’m pretty sure the M3 CS press release included the wordcombination ”forged driveshaft”, which would indicate that it doesn’t get the CFRP shaft like its brother.

//Checked it now, apparently I have had just another brainfart. It was the crankshaft they mentioned.

”Another feature designed for top performance is the forged crankshaft boasting a lightweight design yet also high torsional strength. This keeps the rotating mass low and gives the twin-turbo power unit even quicker throttle response.”

This means there is still hope for the CFRP shaft

Right. I'm sure soon M goon will buy a new car, have it trailered to a shop, take the wheels off with tires and then charge someone 4000.00 for the wheels and tires and say that it's a "killer deal"

Most likely not, since both trunks have a very different shape.

So BMW M has succumb to just pushing out ECU tunes and enticing buyers with fancy lights, seats, and hoods? hilarious German engineering

I still can't find any info if this is going to be offered in a stick or not. That's kind of the determining factor if one will be in my driveway or not.

All information released thus far related to the M3CS and M4CS indicate the CS variant will be DCT only.

Don't expect any official information explicitly stating there will not be a manual transmission. A manual transmission was not mentioned in the press release while a DCT was. That's all the confirmation we are going to get.

Any word on whether M3 CS gets the CFRP drive shaft?

No it does not in the USA. One needs to get the exec pack to get the icon lights.

The rear smoked lights are standard though on the M3CS as the rear OLED are standard on the M4CS.

So you must be able to fully spec the M3CS in the US and Canada , the 100 for the U.K. we're pre specced from BM, I was offered 3 different cars to chose from, main differences was colour and ccb.You could not add or delete options.

Not really in Canada since they come pretty much all decked out, with the only cost options being the CCB and Alcantara steering wheel. No cost options are the PSS (instead of the PSC2) and the different colours (even LRG and FDB are no cost options for us). So like you, not many different ways you can spec it.

As for the US, you either get the exec pack or you don’t, which includes the icon headlights, HBA, HUD, Speed limit info, PDC and the sunblinds. Other cost options are the CCB and the different metallic colours.

According to the BMW UK site, it seems like the M3/4 CS can be ordered with some level of options costomisation, more so than in the US and Canada. Maybe dealers all pre-ordered loaded versions, hence why you had limited choice.
