Serious question... what is the appeal of a catted DP if there is risk that it won't pass emissions?

Several..

Some states have visual inspections / road side checks.

Some people really don't like the mild smell catless dp. This way you get some added power and no smell.

Some people like having cats on the car

Some people with exhaust without resonators find catless downpipes too loud / too much drone so catted downpipes give the flow they want / need but make the exhaust sound better.

Many reasons, but if after most power performance then catless is the way to go.

I usually tell customers to expect 50-70% of the gains from catless downpipes. So if catless gain you 30hp/tq then these will gain you 15-20hp/tq or so.

i have a stage 2 tune made for stock DP.
If i was to get this dp, do i still use a stock DP tune or can i get a tune for decat DP?
does this dp have bad fumes like a decat dp would have?

Thats what i wanted to know as well.. do these eliminate the fume issue that catless dp cars are known for.
