My car is being built in or around January 2017. Will it get these?

I mean, they must be making them now, surely?

Yeh after putting the LCI tails on my M3 I always kinda thought I liked the 3 strait line original design more. I can see the same with the M4 here.

Apparently, MY is only a North-American thing. In the EU, they only go with manufactured date.

Yep. Looks like these will be March 2017 production, though that is still not confirmed. But I believe we'll see M4/4 LCI for March, M2/2 LCI for July. Each will mark the start of MY2018 for those models for North America.

I think most people are losing objectivity here. The tail lights look good in their own regard, but people are comparing it to the tail lights of the GTS, which immediately puts it down.

Yes, it would've been great if the M4 had the tail lights of the GTS, but that'd be irresponsible of BMW. It'd make the GTS less special; it'd be extremely expensive (as they've already stated it is) to put it on all 4 series, because remember - this is a 4 series LCI, not just the M4.

It looks pretty decent IMO, but nothing to write home about.

Don't you mean subjectivity? Something that is objective is generally not up for debate; finite. How good something looks is a subjective measure. I don't care for the GTS tail lights. I think they look busy and overdone.

The F8X LCI tails look more refined than the honeycomb lights.

The honeycomb was great when it came out, but now looks like older LED tech.

The current LCI tails have more depth, although not as much as the 4 series concept lights shown above.

I actually prefer the look of incandescent tail lights. The multiple dots effect of most LED lights doesn't look as good as a lens that glows evenly. Most LEDs look cheap and ghetto to me.
