Not much but slight difference. They're sending out new filters, see if they changed it.

That was my understanding, but was curious to know what power gains VRSF was speaking of since I couldn't find any before and after data.

I basically just want to be convinced that there is a reasonable amount of power gain by installing this part. Because if anything, having a front facing air intake would increase the likelihood of an engine hydrolock during rainy season.
Get the VRSF DP's if you're looking for power gains-and a tune if you want to go the next step.

Get a set of BMC filters and remove the charcoal filters and see if you like that change in sound. It does increase the tone from the engine bay a little but it's not mind blowing!
+1 on VSRF DP's! That was a game changer

Yes, DPs do make a difference, and I'm happy with my VRSF DPs and CPs so far. Best run today was 11.6, and peak trap was 126.xx mph.

Traction remains to be the challenge with the F8x platform.

I could but really have no way to record the sound. Inside the cabin, I can't tell the difference. I honestly think if you want that SWOOSH, you'll need blitz filters or under the hood intakes.

Yes, they're sending out orders with the same filters BMS uses. B&S filters.

I know this is tad old, But valid.
I have the vrsf intakes and filters. The sound is OK not like the BMS was, but I wanted front mount..
Anyway..
Mauld, didn't the bms intakes make things any louder? I'm about to try this myself. They do appear to fit better.

VRSF told me the filters shipped where the same a bms. They aren't at all! So I wonder if they are saying this just for sales.. What did they ship you in the end?

Thanks

I installed the BMS Intakes on my car about two weeks ago. Love them. Gives it the woosh thats audible yet not obnoxious like a blow off. I couldn't go back to stock.

I think the injen intake is by far the loudest. Ive had drop in, BMS and the injen. The injen intake makes ALL KINDs of air noises. Swooshes at lift off. Under moderate load, you hear induction noises. If you partiall lift while accelorating, you hear what sounds like air hose blowing. All kinds of intake nose.

With the BMS intakes, I keep having idle issues.

Don't mind me asking is it the open element version with the heat shield or the enclosed version from Injen?
Also, did you have any issues under hard acceleration with this system?

Thanks man...
