Not bad at all. Prefer the m3 over the m4. The m4 looks too wide in the back (better in person I am sure). However, I think the hoods on both cars look plain. I miss the vents. I would definitely wait for the LCI/Competition package to be released before considering purchasing one.

maybe i'm just biased towards the e90, but the f80 looks too much like an f30 imo esp from the front...the hood bump could be bigger...the back looks great though

nice....i liked ymb but on second thought, i will avoid any blue altogether since it looks so close to an f30 msport....

couple things i noted since I don't understand the language.

-the rear seat headrests!
- est. 72k EUR?!?!?!?! thats damn near $100k but I guess we get cars cheaper....

overall, they look badass and that weight wow.

crap...

Would not sell my e90 m3 for this car... but I may have to have this car sitting right next to it in my garage. Man, BMW did a good job with the styling, much more distinct from the f30, the arches are much wider and just plain more aggressive than the 3 series.

We just ordered a new C7 so maybe I should go crazy and trade our 335 for a new M3 so I can compare daily our 2011 M3 vs 2014 M3 vs C7.

Maybe we should flip our C7 convertible when we get it. They are going for nice premiums right now on Ebay.

It should. 30-130mph should be even more telling.

A few comments:
- saw the new C7 in person in SoCal this morning, and it looks FAR better than in photos, esp the rear. Great presence.
- I have owned many M3's, currently a '11 M3 Comp Pkg. I think the look of the new M3 is poor: rear and front look like poor man's boy racer integration/tacked on. Hopefully better in person, or maybe a dark color to hide the design mistakes.
- I have always thought the current M3 was too heavy, and lacking in torque. So this new model bats 1000 in terms of taking a big step forward in making the car a much better street performer and track day weapon.
- Having the increased MPG is a bonus. I am getting 19.9 every tank currently. I rent a small/economy car every other week for business out of town, and outside of a hybrid, all the other cars end up with low 20's MPG during my rental week. Laughable! Might as well own an M3 is my opinion.
- Hopefully I dont have to buy NAV, terrible systems in all BMW's relative to iPhone/etc

Contacting dealer today to buy the new M3.

The new M3 sedan and M4 coupe will go public at the Detroit auto show prior to the start of North American sales in May 2014. Prices are yet to be announced, though officials have said they are likely to rise over previous models.

I agree re the current M3 torque issue although I love the look of the E90. Still think it's one of the best looking cars on the road. I baby mine and get 21.1 mpg. The C7 is great in person. We ordered a convertible black with tan interior, black wheels with red calipers.

I am very tempted to trade my 335 for a new M3. Hope the initial reviews are good. Going to wait to see them before I take the plunge.

Nice...tempted to get a C7 Z06 too.
I had a 335, wonderful car for the $.
M3 price going to be a barrier most likely, but with near 911 S performance for $30k less should help.

Nice. I actually love the M3 more It will be probably rarer than the M4. I wish BMW would build M3 Touring too.

Whoever thinks the M3 looks better than the M4 is sniffing glue. I wouldn't even consider the M3. Compared to the M4 it looks like it's trying to be sporty... and failing. If I had a need to transport 3 other individuals so often that 4 doors were an absolute necessity I'd get something that looks good...
