I actually just ordered one for my supercharged e92 m3, rated for 1000hp used on drag cars etc to it can withstand being slammed on.
Will get in about 4 weeks, curious to see what a difference it makes.

my 2016 M3 with Comp has a whirring noise that is most notable in 3rd gear around 30-35MPH when accelerating- my mechanic says my Driveshaft is failing at the end where it attaches to the Diff- he says its rubbing on something during rotation that the lube has failed. After watching this video, not sure how the shaft could have failed. Are you guys hearing stories about the Carbon fiber shaft doing this?

Are you sure it's not the Giubo/Flex Disc?

It's the same for me, but in 5th gear exactly at 2.000 - 2100 RPM where the car changes car in the lowest setting.
The car accelerates without a problem, but the noise is clearly hearable in the cabin. My car has 21.000 miles and it's a 2017 F82 Competition.

My 2018 M3 CS has a CF DS. I saw it with my own eyes at the dealer when they were doing service. I specifically asked my service tech to confirm or deny that it had one and he called me back and showed it to me. I posted a picture of it here couple years ago and still had members tell me CS models did not come with one. The internet is a funny place.

Can anyone tell me a reputable place to buy the cf driveshaft for a 2019 f82?

Also what’s the rough cost to install this part?
