Common etiquette for M3/M4 owners?

I wave when on my bike. It’s more of an “in the wind” thing than a brand thing. I’ve Jeeped in the past and it always felt weird when someone would wave to signify that they spent money on the same kind of thing I spent money on. After all, I don’t do it in the supermarket when I see another fan of Raisen Bran Crunch or garlic stuffed olives. Ok, maybe the olives....occasionally.

I have only seen 3 others in Memphis. 2/3 times I was in my Maxima. However when I saw the third (M3 Blue CP) he and I instantly starting getting after it. Cool dude, we both had tint and it was cold out. So neither of us were willing to let in the cold. But, we both acknowledged each other

Not with another M car owner, but while driving to lunch earlier today I had a police officer driving towards me and gave me a thumbs up as I drove passed.....I waved back

Only partially kidding. Not really a kid, maybe mentally. But I do appreciate the hard work of my parents which got me to where I am today.

Yup, so far all the f8x generation of M drivers I've come across don't seem to be enthusiast at all nor do they notice me high beam them or give them a thumbs up. It seems like they have an M cuz it was the best 3 series they could get (so why not right?) usually the e46 and e9x M drivers are the ones interested in my car or throwing me a thumbs up.

On the opposite of the spectrum, in Ohio no one has a clue what they are. I might be driving a Camry as far as they know.

I get more thumbs up and questions from non BMW drivers than BMW drivers. BMW drivers seem hostile and jealous which is both sad and hilarious
