8kg comes from the 763M wheels alone, so you have a point regarding the wheels . I am not getting the M4CS for the weight reduction alone. I would have actually preferred a bit more amenities, such as full leather doors, HK sound and comfort access even it means a little more weight. But I am getting the CS for total package. For us here in Canada, the premium from a decently appointed CP to the CS is not that big (about $12k USD), so it is worth it to me for the improved suspension, added power and torque, CF hood and CF aero bits while maintaining a full factory warranty.

It's nice that you can switch over the camber plates and track wheels from your current car to round out the CS further I'd be interested to get your take on the cup2 vs nt01 at some point from your current car and upcoming CS. |

It is not only a question of mid range pull, the CS has much more area under the curve compared to the CP in the top end power band as well and it translates to real world acceleration improvements. Have a look at this thread: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1376759 That claimed 110lb "weight reduction" for the M3CS though...

The CP in UK was retuned to help with traction issues which you can see in the graph from Evolve, the 2016 sw was running the original software, all are now running the updated software. I don't take a lot of notice that gets put out in "flyers" but the one below quite clearly states a big weight loss, maybe that was before they seem to of changed the lightweight titanium exhaust system that they have also advertised in the U.K. as a standard spec on the CS UK spec sheet. https://www.netcarshow.com/bmw/2018-m3_cs/ |

As for the 110lb “weight savings”, it all depends what baseline they use, and that’s where it gets shady.
