My fiance knows how to drive stick and when she drives my M4 you get all the losers revving up next to her and doing fly-bys and just acting like teenage boys, it's great. Lot of peacocking
I get people tailgating me even when going over the speed limit, that one is the worst! |

& it's always the lower end cars. Altima, Evos, 3 Series etc. If I'm in the mood & theres straight empty lane ahead I'll give them a nice pull, then stop quickly just to give them an idea of how fast I'll make them disappear from my rear view.

I really hope DMV stops giving out drivers licenses so easily. The driving and writing "test" is an effin joke. A complete idiot with no respect or knowledge of how to properly drive will be able to get one. No wonder most people drive like shit.

Whenever someone is acting like a jerk-off I just remember they probably have much deeper issues and aren't worth the time.
Reminds me of that scene from Big Daddy The worst was some kid in a Scion FRS that aggressively cut me off in stop-and-go city traffic almost causing an accident in the process and then gave me the finger as he tried to drive off but ended up getting stuck at a light. I was then awkwardly stuck next to him at the same light, so in a rare move, I lowered my window to ask "hey buddy, why so angry?" and he starts cursing at me because apparently I wouldn't let him merge (no idea what he was talking about). He had a girl in his passenger seat and my only reaction was "Hey, you're dating a real winner, congratulations to the both of you" and then drove off when the light changed.

The government should implement a new law where if you are found more than 50% at fault for an accident, u have to retake the Drivers License test. People just take having insurance for granted and not drive seriously. Too many morons on the road that don't deserve a license.

People drive like assholes in general...it doesn't matter what type of car you, or they, have.

Someone wrote to think about being an ambassador for the BMW brand when driving. Take that 1 step further for //M. Break the stereotype (most of the time).

I live in Dallas and People drive like dumbass's. I don't get the people that cut you off to get in front of you when there is hardly any room in the first place yet they had all the room in the world to get behind you. They just have to squeeze in and if the person in front has to break were all f'd. I find this one odd as well when im in a hurry to get somewhere people will be driving super slow yet when im just cruising not caring what time I need to get where im going I get people flying by me like all traffic is hauling ass.

I am now commuting a ton of miles, 170 miles or so a day, all highway. I see so much bad driving it's maddening. The staying in the left lane drives me absolutely batty and turns me into asshole man. There is a law in NY that the left lane is only for passing, yet stupid ass people don't know any better.
But I have not seen any buffoonery because I'm in an M3. I don't think most even notice a difference. |

I thank my lucky stars every day I work from home and only travel for onsites which usually occur outside of rush hour.
When I did commute everyday I literally trained myself to just relax and pay no mind. I know it's hard, I'd imagine this place is not full of the average Joe's but its possible. People are really stupid, its getting worse but rise above it man! I drive an Alpine white M3 so you would think I am inconspicuous but hell no, people stare and drive aggressively around me. Maybe its the MPE exhaust ; ) Anyway, when I'm in wife's MDX I am like a freaking ghost to other drivers. But admittedly when I am in my car I am much more in the "zone", that was part of the problem. |

Slowing down to reduce congestion? Come-on, that is complete nonesense . Traffic indeed follows many principles of fluid dynamics. Mass flow = Density x velocity x area; where mass flow is the quantity of cars that pass at any given point per unit time, density is how closely packed the cars are together at that point, velocity is the speed of the cars and area is the amount of lanes at that point. When two lanes merge into one, the area is reduced by half. The problem is not how people behave before or at the merging point, the problem is how people behave after the merging point. Too many people are too slow to accelerate and leave way too much room between cars. Traveling slowly and leaving large gaps reduces the density and velocity which reduces the mass flow (the quantity of cars per minute). Mass flow is a constant before and after the merge point, hence it results in slow moving cars that are tightly packed together before the merging point. The ONLY way to fix this, is for folks to accelerate faster and keep less distance between cars (while maintaining a safe distance naturally) at and after the bottleneck. Changing the behavior upstream will do nothing to improve this effect. It is physics. Purposefully slowing down can only make things worse as it just creates another bottleneck. Interrestingly, the phenomenon of ever reducing speed limits only contributes at increasing traffic density and ironically, density is one of the biggest risk contributors to accidents. I am all for courtesy and respect on the road, I actually think we need more of it everywhere in our society in general. But nothing pisses me off more than when I see folks leaving excessive gaps in, and particularly just after traffic jams, because by doing so, they are just reducing the mass flow and are worsening the jam. And that is not being courteous nor respectful of others. I guess I spent too much time studying fluid dynamics in college

Worst of all when driving on highways and people want to change lanes and not judge the distances between your car and the car in front! I had to break so many times in order to avoid a collision, also I tend to drive and leave enough distance between my car and the car in the front but most people don't and it is really annoying, there should between radar with a camera that can detect the distance between cars!

I live in the Tahoe area and it is vacation week with fresh snow. D bags in full force right now. My wife was stopped waiting for traffic to pass while turning left into work. Some moron decided that would be a good time to pass her on the left. Literally 1 inch a way from slamming into her 2018 JCW Countryman. Of course he honks like she was doing something wrong.
