Again, my original production week was 13, last week in March. Then, they said estimated production completion was 4/3, then it updated to 4/4, then a black hole of no communication before it finally finished production 4/10. Hopefully you don’t go thru the same, but perhaps there’s a backup in the factory.

Awesome. Other than waiting for Genius to get the ship assignment, is there another way to determine which ship you’re on? I went through all the websites and found departure/port information that may sync up on timing, but is there a way to determine for sure before Genius knows? Is genius still several days behind? After sifting through all the shipping company links provided within the Sticky on "tracking your new BMW" i have only found two companies that appear to be shipping from Bremerhaven to New York around April/Map time frame. Here are the screen shots.

HOPING that I make it on W&W Carmen today, which gets into NY on 4/28. Otherwise, definitely hoping it makes it on Glorious Leader which leaves tomorrow and gets to NY on 5/2. If it misses both of these for some reason, it looks like there arent any ships from Bremerhaven to NY that would arrive in NY before May 9 (W&W Undine) or May 11th (NYK Hestia Leader) or May 21st (NYK Cygnus Leader).

It's also possible that I do not have all the correct or updated links since that Sticky was created a few years ago.

I thought Genius doesn’t know about ship assignment until a couple days after it’s actually left port. In your experience, is that accurate or they know almost right away?

I tried calling the customer service line of W&W. Another thread post somewhere said that since they took the option of searching ships by VIN off the website, you can call customer service and give them the VIN over the phone, and they'll be able to search for you.

The customer service rep said that due to a recent change in the system, they can no longer search for cargo by VIN, and we must have the booking number instead. Too bad.... looks like i'm waiting on Genius/BMW NA for an update.

If my car doesnt make it on yesterday or todays W&W ship, you all will have to deal with me well into May. For your sake and mine, let's all hope it's making it on!

04/16 Status 193 - Arrived at Port of Exit.

BMW NA informed me this morning that my M3 made it onto W&W's Carmen, scheduled to hit New York on 4/29. BMW Genius's systems were down when I called, so they were not able to double-confirm. However, thanks to smithf80 who was able to use my VIN to confirm that it is in fact on that ship. Alright!!

I'm starting to get a bit pissed off. My car finished production on the 5th and hasn't been assigned a vessel yet.
