Car was left unclean after service visit
Do you guys think a fingerprints of oil all over the center of the hood area is acceptable after a service?
Should there be oil on the paint like that? And then I had some oil smudge on my interior near the radio power button. I don't usually complain about things like this but this seems out of the ordinary... |

Messy tech. I always cover my seat and put a steering wheel cover on. Lately I've been wrapping up my shift lever and door handle grab in plastic wrap. Yes I am insane thanks for asking.

Is it acceptable? It shouldn't be as it's certainly careless and inconsiderate to touch your hood and interior with oily hands/gloves and not bother to clean it up. But is it a big deal? Nope, just an annoyance.

There was some brake fluid residue on the inside door handle and part of the center arm rest of my E90 when picking it up from a local shop that specializes on BMWs a few years ago. I noticed it when I got home, and fortunately was able to clean it off relatively easily. Regardless, I called the shop and they gave me a $50 coupon on my next service if I remember correctly.

I took my M3 in for scheduled service and they wiped their hands across the custom alcantara dash trim. Streaks from their fingers were apparent and the first thing I noticed when the vehicle was returned to me. It wasn't damaged, so I just let it go.

I don't know what possess people to drag their fingers across something that isn't familiar to them. Everyone I've showed my car to instantly rubs their fingers on the CF hood. Good thing it has Xpel on it.

Same here, I have a sign hanging from the rear view mirror that I got when cquartz PPC was applied, and a taped sign to the steering wheel. I learned my lesson after my E90 was washed by the dealer after I verbally told the service manager not to wash it... the sign makes up for their poor communication skills.
