Hard to sell at first, then 2 times MSRP 10 years later. No exception.
So for $110,000 (assuming you are right and it goes that low), do you buy an vert M4 with all options or a GTS?
Vert M4 in 10 years: $30,000 at best
Gts: between $150,000 and $200,000 (and you are having a blast in the mean time)
It could be worth $30k in 5 years and still worth every penny today! Going to drive the 400 mile Cascade Loop in Washington next week. Smiles per mile, GTS is a bargain.

If a vintage E30 M3 can sell for $140k 30 years later, so will the GTS...IMO (http://enthusiastauto.com/qsearch/?f...1D=18&1574_0=1)

The rare factor is growing on me...although I live in an area where there are at least 5 GTS's within a stones throw away, I still have people tell me that my GTS is the first they've ever seen in real-life. Something about that makes me all giddy inside. Not to mention I romp on Shelbys/Cobras all day on the freeway.

Yup. It is really hard to judge the final value. At some point every GTS will be owned by a true enthusiast and most likely most will not "need" to free up money, so value climbs. 300 in US is the wrench in this whole equation. That is quite a large run for a M of this stature.

It's a blessing and a curse. If the run was more limited the price may have been higher or the chance of even getting one lower. I think we're lucky in the US to have had so many dumped on us. The voucher folks probably paid sticker. Others then paid a little over or a little under but it will even out.

These threads sound more like financial forums these days. We all should have dropped $134K on AAPL a year ago is the final answer

If it has the CF wheels, it is an absolute steal at $115K. Those wheels are sick!

New to BMW's

I am new to the forum and am picking up a new M4 Gts today. Read a lot of reviews and comments good and bad. In person I love the car and I purchased the car for a substantial discount off MSRP. Looking forward to involvement in the forum.

Congrats and welcome to the Forum. You are going to love it! I have had mine for a few months and I am blown away every time I go behind the wheel.
I would not worry about some of the negative reviews (most reviews are outstanding - I read them all). You will find out for yourself how amazing it is. I drive mine basically every other day and I wish I could take it out even more.
As a bonus, any purchase at less than MSRP pretty much guarantees you will get your money back when you sell in a few years...if you ever do.
Keeping mine for sure!

Man, most wives think double the price for m4 vs 4 series is too much.

I do. 5 cars in a bit over 2 years. Not a problem each time. She didn't want to know how much my wheels were though...

You guys are lucky. Mine might have a general idea of what the car costs (easy to check on line) but I do not volunteer any information on M performance parts and/or tuning.
Better not to.
