GTS Prices
A regular M3 or M4 Convertible is loaded up is over 90k. I have many cars with values from 50k to over 400k, including a 911 Turbo S currently and many P cars in the past. (overall they cannot be beat and an RS would be preferred, although one must also recognize and additional 100k in outlay) There is no way an M4GTS is a 90k car. One has to take it for what it is which is a Track car that can be driven on the street. Most people do not have more than one car and an M4GTS would be a poor choice for an everyday driver. It has a different feel than a "normal" street cars and it is an occasion to drive. It is a tremendous amount of fun and my choice for doing canyon runs. I only drive it for fun times in the car. As far as selling under sticker, I certainly did not think they would go under MSRP and am surprised. The 1M did the same thing when it came out, but I think this is much more of a car to the regular line up than the 1M was to its vintage. The Z8 was another car that at one point was under sticker. Although the beauty of the Z8 is timeless and undeniable. Anyway, I suspect the M4GTS will do well in the long run when all of the inventory is gone and more are exposed to the special qualities of this vehicle. If you have not driven one after the break in and have not whipped around nasty turns in this car, then your speculation is of little value. Those who have had significant seat time and have put the car through its paces will have no issue extolling its many positive virtues and the smile that the car put on their face.

Agree. I drive mine as much as I can (even to, and back from work) and it cannot be compared with a regular (competition-package or not) M3/M4. It is a visceral experience every time I drive it...sound and road feel are stunning.
This, coming out of 12 years of M3s. It will always be a very special car. If you can get you hands on one, go ahead but I would not wait too long. |

Drove one. Compared to my 15 GT3 (same price basically) and 16RS I thought it sucked. It is max a 90k car and will be in 6 months. And I love my DD f80 JB4 M3 FYI.

I love this thread! "it's a $90k car" or "same price as a GT3" are my favorite silly comments. You are all welcome to your opinions, but you may also not know as much about which you speak. I have a lot of nice cars, and the GTS is special. At $125k new, it was a steal. Porsche made 991 of the R, and it's now a $400k car, compared to only 750 of the GTS. This car will stop sliding around $110-105k max, and then it will be $125k in 3 years. If you have not driven one in serious situations, you honestly don't have any idea what you are talking about.
