Great video, pretty much how I have felt lately about size of these cars. Just wish m2 had better color options interior and exterior, also wish it had the seats like the m3

Honestly enjoyed that video allot. I come from a generation where the E46 M3 was the dream, I owned one for about 7 years but have now moved onto the M2.
For the first time since my E46 I feel at home in a modern M car. So much so I created plates that read "E46 M2".

Diamond Black, Alpine White, Lach or Sterling silber and one of three reds that changed over the 5 years from Henna to Zinnobar to Hellrot. The E30 M3 came in one interior color. (M2 also has one) The E30 M3 did not have seats from the E28 M5. (M2 doesn't have seats from it's big brother) The E30 M3 did not have " M mirrors" (M2 doesn't either) past = present = future.. |

It's a blast, but I do consider it the current "M5".

Which options are in the M3/4 that you with the M2 had? Really, all I need is a decent nav, but not even for the nav, but for the screen size. I got lighting, but skipped most of everything else. In hindsight, I wish I had gotten the HUD and Rear camera.

HUD is one thing I would really miss. And heated seats. And steering wheel (just wish they would heat the manual gear knob too). I love having Nav, especially being a foreigner living in the US - everywhere is new to me.

The F8X series is great for a DD - sufficiently refined for the commute to/from work and nimble enough not to feel like a boat.
I haven't driven an M2, so don't know if the fun factor offsets the lower level interior and smaller size. I can say that the M2 misses the mark as a DD for me (although if I were younger, the M2 would be a great DD). I would consider it as a weekend vehicle, but I'd also consider other cars for that purpose as well. |

And of course the HUD. Not sure if remote-controlled privacy shades are an option on the 3/4 Series. But I would have liked that in my M2 also.

the mirrors were the same mirrors on the regular E30 .. there were AC Schnitzer mirrors ... I was never a fan of them .. the interior AND Exterior of the E28 M5 came in a single color in the US (black) and I believe Beige interior was an option for Canada? A lot more options were available in Europe for the E28 M5 - definitely interesting seeing an actual color palette for the E28 M5 http://bimmertips.com/bmw-e28-m5-oem...color-options/ Last edited by M3 Adjuster; 04-26-2017 at 05:35 PM.. |

Wow, I use mine several times per drive. I couldn't imagine driving without them. Efficient for traffic, Sport for fast traffic, and Sport+ for good times.
