Fell off the wagon! Modding again after 10 years! - UPDATED 11/6
Let me start off by saying that I am excited that I've finally gotten my long-time dream car: an M3! It's month 5 and I still get that fuzzy feeling when I see it in my garage.
I also haven't modded a car in about 10 years! I know, crazy right! I had an S4, 328 and a 340i M Sport that remained stock. Before those, here's the last car I owned that was modded: 2000 Audi A4 Quattro Sport. Neuspeed/Bilstein suspension RS4 Grill M3 truck lip 18 RS4 replicas B&M SS kit GIAC Tune ECODE projectors F1 Pinnacle Ceramic Tint Forge DV Almost 10 years later, I went back to that same area and took a pic of my week old new M3: BMW F80 M3, Long Beach, CA by JMG, on Flickr Factory options: CF interior trim CF shifter plate Alcantera boot CF Parking brake M Pedals Alcantera Parking Brake Boot Gloss Black grills MPE (best option ever!) Let me start out by saying that this is my DD. I'm also not the spring chicken I once was. I no longer have the desire to be slammed. I don't want to worry about my front lip scraping or going 2 mph over bumps. The first thing I wanted was to get some more CF to match the CF tipped MPE. I waited about a month and contacted EAS for the M Performance CF rear diffuser and the M Performance deck lid. I wanted to keep the OEM look. Went from this: BMW F80 M3 Downtown LA - 6D - IMG_0835_100 by JMG, on Flickr to this: 20160501 - M3 Rear - 6D - IMG_1865_E_100 by JMG, on Flickr 20160501 - M3 Rear - 6D - IMG_1876_E_100 by JMG, on Flickr Fast forward 4 months and I think it was time for a drop. Once again EAS was my goto for some Macht Schnell Springs for a modest drop maintaining a stock like ride: 20161005 - M3 Myers St 04 - IMG_5597_E_100 by JMG, on Flickr Needless to say, its EXACTLY what I wanted! Keeping that DD comfort and at the same time a drop that looks good without being too low. Handles very well and even gave a little bit more road feeling in the steering. Overall VERY VERY happy with this setup! What's next? Not sure. I'm thinking spacers, but I don't want any vibrations. Maybe JB4? I've already had the car coded. If anyone has any suggestions for an OEM+ look, I'm all ears! Thanks for reading! I'll update this thread as I add mods! ****** UPDATE 11/06 ****** Went back to EAS this morning to get Macht Schnell Spacers installed. 15mm front, 12mm in back. I didn't expect just 12mm to make that much of a difference, but it filled the wheel wells in nicely. Fall by JMG, on Flickr Fall by JMG, on Flickr F80 Rear w/12mm spacers by JMG, on Flickr

I always believe in keeping it simple and classy. Slight drop, front lip and maybe some custom wheels to avoid using spacers. I have shy away from tuning, I feel nothing beats the realiablity of being stock. F8X body already stands out.

Spacers would really set off your drop perfectly.
I had 18f/15r on my M4 for a super flush look before I finally went aftermarket on the wheels. I loved it! I think most F80 guys go 15f/12r or 15 all around though. Very few have had vibration issues if u stick with the right manufacturers & installers. This thread will give u all the info & pics you need (1st 15 pgs are mostly discussion). http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1000804 For power...if you're not going to go with DPs and want to keep it simple (w/little cost) BMS Stage 1 piggyback is great. Very easy install/uninstall.

Joseph, as always nice seeing you last week. Hope you are enjoying the ride with you new drop. As for spacers I would go with a 15mm front and a 12mm rear. Those are rub free and wont have any vibration. Here is an example:

I was on the fence too. As long as there is no vibration I'm okay with it. So far so good.
