build dates pushed back??

The official word from BMW is that they have stopped scheduling the build of additional "Individual" M4 Coupe orders until after Sept 1st. This is for ANY individual paint . Apparently the older technology Munich plant is backed up with individual paint orders and they are not accepting any more individual paint production slots until after Sep 1.

...ask me how I know this...

I had a 1st week May production slot (for my 2015 Order) and they started pushing it back so I chose just to wait until the 2016 ordering opens up.

I'm currently into the (re)build process on the 2016 but the Order System won't completely accept the order until the Pricing is "un-blocked". (I have my 2016 M4 Build Sheet in hand). The pricing is supposed to be "un-blocked" by the end of this week. I am told the pricing hasn't changed (although a few of the options have moved around).

Regardless. If you want to place an order for an M4 with individual paint, the queue starts at Sept 1st...

I'm told its only for vehicles being built in the older Munich plant. Since the M6 is built in the newer Dingolfing plant, it should not be affected...

I'm getting this directly from BMWNA and BMW Individual in Munich (not a dealer)...

We have been working on a "very special" M4 build since last August... Individual Paint, Individual Interior, and ***ALL*** M-Performance parts being installed at the port (prior to delivery)...

Its been a very long wait...

Hey Saxon looks like my dealer ended up getting a 2015 allocation after all in 112 status today. I'm going in tomorrow to sign all the paper work or what ever else is needed... probably a deposit. Should see the car in July sometime.
