Just my opinion, but I really think the M4 style spoiler looks best on the M4. It never looks right to me when I see that same style on the M3.

The pics posted on page 1 look great though, much better looking spoiler for the M3. Again, just my opinion.

To the OPs question, YES! I loved my M4 when I got it and started thinking I didn't need the spoiler or diffuser. Glad I finally decided to try it out because it absolutely changed the look for the better. Far more aggressive and sexy!

If you are leasing then you should do port installed definitely because then it is residualized and you only pay for a very small portion of the accessory. If not a lease then decide whether OEM is worth the extra dough but please for the love of god don't pay a dealer or shop to do this. It is literally as simple as putting a sticker on your car.

Step 1 - Remove old spoiler(if you have M3) (skip to step 2 if you have M4)then use GooGone or 3M adhesive remover to get rid of gunk

Step 2 - Use mineral spirits or alcohol to fully clean surface

Step 3 - Line up new spoiler and mark on trunk with two pieces of painters tape on each side once you find center

Step 4 - Peel tape and stick between your tape marks then press down along the edges of the spoiler

Step 5 - nothing because you're already done!!

This is just an FYI. You might check with your dealer. I had CF splitters installed during my 10K service at the dealer, and the discount they gave me on the parts in stock was well below the price quoted on the above website, enough so that it completely offset the labor they charged. Just sayin'. Sorry for the hyjack, back to regular programming.

Thanks for the tip. Been leasing 328's and recently a 435i vert. I'm looking to order an M3 this month so any tips are helpful!

I ended up ordering my M3 few days ago (my first M). I didnt get the CF spoiler. The M4 style one offered by Mode Carbon just looks too good. I will end up getting that one, but will keep an eye out for any sales or coupons for it since I have few months before it will be delivered.

The video's I have seen on install seem to be so easy, I can't believe it is but we shall see.

I think you will find the hardest part of the install is the removal of the adhesive from the stock spoiler. I haven't done it yet, however, the adhesive seems to be the sticking point

Hey, I say Yes! Get a great quality Carbon Fiber Spoiler. I have the PSM V2 Spoiler on my MW M3 and it changed the look of the whole car. So much more aggressive. Removing the Adhesive took a good 30-45min, but it was relatively simple if you take your time. I installed my spoiler with a friend of mine who has an M4. When installing it, it will be better to have two people do it. My other buddy has the PSM V2 spoiler on his M4 is just as amazing

Ended up ordering the F80 M4 Style Spoiler from ModeCarbon. Now I just have to wait for my car to come in. The videos look so easy, but hopefully its not too bad to install. Actually its not the install I'm worried about, its removing the existing one without scratching anything or screwing up.

I understand. I felt the same way. I used fishing wire and 3m taped around the stock spoiler so I wouldn't touch the paint. I'm sure you'll be fine. Keep us updated

It's $470

And yes it looks FANTASTIC over that crap stock one.
These pics just made me order one. I had the Carbon Fiber Rear Diffuser and M Performance Exhaust with CF tips put on a couple of weeks ago and I put the CF license plate holder on tonight.

I wasn't going to get CF rear spoiler because I wasn't sure it would look good against the LSB color, but your pics sold me on it.

So did you do it yourself? Which video did you use for DIY?
