The CCB's take rate has exceeded BMW's expectations. In other words: They can't produce the CCB fast enough for current demand.

I'd like to know as much as possible about the passive suspension.

- Where is it positioned relative to the adaptive suspension's modes?
- Does it have the same springs as the adaptive suspension? If not what differs ( length, load or both ).
- Is it similar to the E9X M3 passive suspension in dynamics and specs?
- Has it been as extensively tuned and tested as the adaptive suspension?

Cheers.
Wish it did!

Why is BMW being so cryptic with the f8x? I can understand from the perspective of not giving clues to the C63 and RC-F but why not be headstrong?

I still believe the e9x is amazing and I don't really care what new tech the f8x brings. I mean the extra CFRP and air curtains are cool

Also why didn't BMW focus harder on reducing the weight of the f8x or would the suspension cost more or would downforce aero cost more to keep the 50/50 balance?

I would like to know...

Is the EDC system active in all modes? On the E90 non-comp, it was only active in comfort and normal modes, while the sport mode was static at approx 75% damping rates. The comp package was active in all mods.

Please DO NOT say things like that! We will PAY additional for a freakin color? That sits well with you? I think 8k just to stop sooner and noisier isn't worth 8k to begin with, let alone pay MORE for a damn color!! Porsche is the epic fail of charging for EVERY little detail, don't even give BMW a clue cause they are slowing doing this. Sidenote: Camaro Z/28 even comes with standard CCB!!

Bit of a random one but I'd like to know if the UK gets the universal remote, not seen it mentioned in any specs over here but we've not had a brochure here yet.

yeah really...the system of course can only provide so much force, so it's really only going to delay felt fade so much. It's called "compensation" for a reason

All MY14 and newer BMWs with auto stop/start will remember the last used setting of that system, so if you turn it off once, you'll never have to turn it off again. Pretty guaranteed the M3s and M4s will have this.

If so, why did BMW deem it necessary to build an unique EPS for the M3/4 from the "ground up"? What exactly is 3/4 series' EPS' disadvantage?

Is it possible to improve the steering feel of 3/4 series simply by fitting it the new EPS WITHOUT modifying the suspension?

More importantly, is the new EPS the future of BMW non-M cars?
You answered your own question. The EPS system in the F8x is completely different and has been designed entirely around getting all the right feedback through to the steering wheel without any of the unnecessary vibration, while keeping it efficient and adjustable. There are a few pretty lengthy articles on that here.

The EPS system in the F3x cars is good in the efficiency department but not good at translating useable feedback through to the steering wheel. Some of this is tires, some is suspension, and the rest is qualities inherent to EPS systems.

No. The gold is to identify this option. It cannot be re sprayed.
M. Performance accessories will be fitted by your BMW M dealer.

The real question is why doesn't this car have more carbon fiber when BMW has that huge carbon fiber factor which they are wasting on the i3 and i8 only. They outsourced all the carbon fiber on the m3/m4 instead.

Ridiculous..........

But to answer your question reducing weight while keeping comfort, safety, etc is probably the most expensive thing to do on a car.

For a PURE track car, that's fine understandable! I'm just saying these cheaper cars are really reflecting the most value for your dollar and BMW seems to just want you to pay for the name and then some. Some things just do or don't make sense, feel me?
