Picking my MG ZCP F80 on 7/21 - anyone else going to be there?

Frickin' can't wait...this is going to be the longest two weeks ever - especially given the fact that I've never seen this combo in the flesh (not that it's super rare - just not many F8xs running around this neck of the woods).

Four days remaining before I fly out and get zero sleep at the Marriott as the anticipation mounts for Friday the 15th. Wish we could take our car the day before just to cruise around in!

Congrats and please post pics as soon as you pick it up!! I ordered a very similar spec to yours (same color, F80, ZCP)...love seeing new pics of this car.

I am. Genius told me its waiting for a ship. Don't know why BMW says PCD is 10 weeks though?

PCD is IN 10 weeks? when is your tentative date for pcd?

Yep. I'm doing M school the 10/15 weekend and hope/pray that my car will be back from ED in time and they'll be able to schedule PCD for the day before my M school. Hopefully that will make me slightly less clueless for M school.

Will do. If anyone is heading to Greenville, make sure you check out downtown. It's nice and quaint. Had some good bubble tea at a place called O Cha.

I was just reading the BMW Zentrum website and it looks like it is undergoing renovations. That's a bummer!

Don't have one yet.

Just going by the ED timeline that says 6-8 weeks for a dealer, or 10 weeks for PCD.

Any idea why they claim the time difference? It would seem like once it gets through customs it should only take a few days to get to wherever - Ohio or SC in my case should be about equal, certainly not weeks different.

They only have so much space & people to do PCDs, they can only handle a few a day (I don't have an exact number, but I'm guessing around 5).

Not sure. I'll give it another 3-4 weeks before I start bugging my dealer.

Right, I get that, but the car should still physically get there in the same amount of time. Unless you/they mean that extra 2 weeks is them just trying to fit in the delivery date amongst the other cars.

The thing with ED cars is that they won't schedule your PCD until it gets stateside and clears customs. With non ED cars, once the car enters production you get a tentative PCD date.

Yea, that's why I'm really hoping they are able to work some magic to get mine scheduled the day before my M school. I hear they work hard to make those things happen. It's the least they could try and throw in for the $3k I'm paying for M school to save me a second trip down there.
