Running jb4 map 1 on 93 octane with bms Intake and charge pipes. Everything else is stock. Fuel tank at half. I've had the mods on for 3 weeks with no issues. Today I was driving pretty aggressive and got a CEL.
P0171 p0174 system lean Anyone else have this issue? I didn't get any hiccups or fluttering rpms at the time the light came on or after UPDATE******** I️ removed the bms intake and returned it to stock. Updated the firmware on the jb4 and no issues so far. |

Yes cleared code. On map 0. Drives fine. I bought the jb4 used so I'm not sure about what firmware it has or how to update it.

If not, then try updating JB4 firmware to latest firmware and should hopefully clear up your issues |

First rule of thumb, is to check which version your jb4 is on and update to latest.
Read the codes with your JB4 plugged in, hope you have bluetooth kit System too lean doesn't look like Downpipe or Tuner Code

Stock downpipes. It hasn't come back on since restarting and driving on map 0. But I haven't tried driving aggressively again.

Thanks for the info. Like I said I'm not good with updates or electronics. I may have to do some research.

Just a guess, but a loose intake would cause this issue too. (You mentioned that you had BMS) It's happened to me twice in the past (not on the M4). The first time was due to the silicone hose connecting the intake and the throttle body coming loose. The second time was due that same hose aging and cracking. Both times caused the car to intake more air than what the MAF sensor was metering. I was getting AFR lean codes. Both times I tightened/replaced the hose connected to the throttle body at the intake. Then I drove it for a bit to let the mixtures even up and the problem went away. Again just a guess being that you mentioned the intakes

you can update also if you have the laptop cable for the JB4 through the PC.

It deletes with bootmod3. It's a very common code with the bms intakes actually. I've contacted them directly and they told me just to ignore it.
