M3 - Yas Marina Blue Metallic or Mineral White Metallic
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I am also thinking if the Yas Marina Blue Metallic affect the resale value of the car ? since I have so read many comments that people dislike it . free feel to share any thought. |

I have a MW that goes into production in a couple weeks. Did a BMW track day last week where they had a YMB/SS M3 they were using and it looked great - liked it enough that I have contemplated switching. I don't think you can go wrong with either really. Resale will be similar so I wouldn't worry about that.

Both are great colors, and my struggle was also between these two.
At the end of the day, I saw a mw f80 in person and loved it, and was unsure of how I would feel about the ymb in person. The major advantage to ymb imo is that silverstone interior goes perfectly with it, which is my favorite interior color |

I think you need to see them both in person to really decide. See if a dealer in your area has a car in either of these colors…and ask to see it in the shade and in direct sunlight if you can. Color is the hardest decision to make on these cars, IMO.

My wife, son, best friend and I fell in love with YMB on all the pictures. I have seen several in person now and every one of us has had the same reaction. Plain ugly in person. I have seen Mw in person and it looks great. Many looooove YMB so it's up tobyou but I can tell you that it was unanimous on our end. Everyine thought it was ugly in person especially strange because we thought it was the best in pictures. In person it looks bad to all of us especially in bright sun. Aw and bsm look best on this generation m3 IMHO.

It's funny you say that bc from what I read is that pictures does not do justice and most have said car looks much better in person. I have seen it in person and yes it is different but I do love the color as I ordered YMB. Other person I think you should try to locate the blue and see if you like it As for resale value I don't think it matters what color you get. |

I previously has AW 1M, my MW M3 arrived 10 days ago and any photo you see does not do the paint any justice.. all of the lines and curves on the car are really accentuated.. looks great!!
I have seen YMB in the flesh and wasn't so impressed, blue is my favorite colour but its just too light a colour to live with.. I would post pictures on my MW white but you really need to see it in the flesh! See if you dealer has any or any other car in MW so you can see it in the light.. |

Completely disagree about YMB in person. Saw one over the weekend as the sun was rising on it about 8am. It was absolutely beautiful.
Now don't get me wrong about MW, it is a truly beautiful color but boring. If you want something unique and to get noticed more go with the YMB. It seems like all the cars on the road these days are a shade of white silver or black. If you want the classic combo go with white. However, I highly doubt resale will be affected by YMB. If anything I think it would increase resale as it will be less common yet more sought after on the used market. IMO. |

IMO Mineral White really just looks white in person, I love my YMB i thought about getting white in the beginning but thought hell I'm getting an M car, mind as well stand out. I picked YMB without ever seeing the color in person, but I am glad I picked it.

I had an AW e92 and loved how it looked. I own a white Porsche. Ordered AW F80 M3 and then saw a YMB M4 at the dealership and changed my order. White is safe and looks good.
YMB is a dedicated M color, has a brilliance and pop to it, and I feel will be more engaging as time goes on. I try not to think about resale much because if I did I wouldn't be buying the car in the first place.

The YMB is an M - color. The MW - for all BMWs.
I decided to make my M - car with M - color.

Yes!!! You can see some love it some don't. My point was that don't order it without seeing it. I was so smitten with YMB in pictures that I might have ordered it without seeing it and in person I think it's awful. The AW which I thought was boring in pictures looked great in person. You look and you decide! Best wishes! |

MW if you plan on keeping your car long. I just saw a blue m5 (previous gen) and the blue made it look even more dated
I was going to go for YMB too, but now thinking MW or AW since I plan on keeping it for 6 years.

My order was placed in early August and is in Sold Priority 1 status. It was scheduled to start production next week (week 40) after being bounced around for a month. I was told today that I had been moved to week 49 with an ETA of January. |

I ordered YMB initially - then saw it in person and I hated it- changed my order the same day. Lets not beat about the bush.......it's baby blue . Changed my order to AW and the car looks great. To caveat I also saw MW in person and didn't want that for the M3 either - it's a colour that better suits a luxury car IMO although I'd take it over YMB every day of the week.
As others have said you need to see both colours in person to make an informed decision - people here will give you their opinion but when it comes to colours everyone has different tastes- the only person who can decide is you.
