lol at some of the comments in this fread.. some of you guys need to get a life

RS5 certainly does have more presence on the road and i'd say it looks a little better than the M4.. but it's a boat, it only comes with an auto transmission, and it's performance figures aren't that impressive for the price.. but i'm not gonna lie it would make a sweet daily cruiser.

cayman is a gorgeous car although i still think they are overpriced.. but hey if they were cheaper then everybody and their cousin would be driving one right?

like some comments have already stated the M4 wins b/c it's just all around the better car

Cornering is the biggest weakness of the RS5 in my opinion. Also, the steering feel isn't great - it's precise, but just doesn't feel natural - too artificial.

The Cayman is the most fun-to-drive among these 3 cars, and it has the best handling. It's very expensive, but it's hard to call it overpriced because there is no comparable car out there which is less expensive.

It's a boring daily cruiser... it's the same as driving my 1995 Buick. In Auto, you're cruising at 30mph in 7th gear. In S mode, it's jerky and feels like automatic with tip-tronic.

Looks wise, it is beautiful... it's also very comfortable even with HR springs. It can be fast... it pulls all the way to the redline... much better than my e92 M3 pulled... but It still feels like a whale.

A Buick?

I must have a special edition RS5 cause a Buick it feels nothing like!

I guess I just drive it like it was made to be driven and when I want to cruise...it does that well too.

I test drove a 2014 Cayman S yesterday. I must say, the car handles exceptionally well and is super agile. I threw the oars in a manual and it felt really good. Engine sounds amazing as well. I was torn, as I already have a deposit in for an M4. However, this being my only car, the Cayman S was impractical for me as you cannot get a nice set of clubs in the back area (and forget about the front trunk for long items). So, the Porsche will have to wait until I have a second car (perhaps an SUV) that can haul my clubs.

You need a second car (maybe a "beater") anyway if you buy a nice expensive car like the M4 or Cayman. There are many places where I need to park, but wouldn't dare park an M4 or a Cayman there because of a fear of vandalism or other damage. I got burned too many times, and learned my lesson, so I also own a car that I'm not that concerned about.

Excellent point! In fact, was looking at used SUVs last night. Always did like the Cayennes... lol
