TPG Tuning Single Turbo BMW M4 Project
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com In a constant search for more power and faster times, we have been working hard at developing a new engine program to strengthen the heart of this car. In doing so we have also begun development on a single turbo kit to accent and truly utilize the new capabilities of this engine. We are far from complete , however with gaining new progress everyday we wanted to create a build thread to track our work. We have already started testing on the new engine setup in our M3 with great initial results. We feel this engine and turbo kit will compliment each other nicely. This year will not only be about 1/4 Mile racing too which we have always been geared towards, but we will also be attending a good bit of half mile events to see the true top end potential of this car. I will update the thread as new developments come up, any questions on topic feel free to ask. This thing is going to be a monster. Hope there's more fuel in the works.

We already have port injection and a large pump testing on our M3. We will be utilizing that system with a redesigned low pressure pump , including 6x ID1300cc injectors to fuel this setup. I think we might use VP Import as well.

Looks great!
Any reason why you are going for a Xona turbo? Have you had a Hanvey to look into any BW EFR series products? Other platforms are having great results on useable power. Won't blast peak numbers some other products but area of power "under the curve" is substantial. |

We have used the EFR series before with underwhelming results. A large group of them end up with the turbine wheel missing and the rest tend to make horrible power. I agree some tend to spool nice, however a larger percentage we've used have performed poorly. On top of having weak power potential , the compressor covers and turbine housings are massive making fitment difficult.
We have been in business with Forced Performance for years . Their products have been extremely beneficial and reliable. Xona Rotor is a spin off with FP and Tial. It just made sense to us to continue using products we know and trust , as well as s great relationship we've built over many years |
