Steering wheel frame is pretty interesting.

Interesting to see that the two intake tracts from the two turbos are interconnected (open to each other) at the intercooler.

Can't tell. I can only assume that if the ///M engineers designed it that way it is a good thing...
I was just surprised to see this since the two tracts are kept separate upstream of the intercoolers. So both turbos feed all 6 cylinders. IIRC, this is different than what is done on the S63Tu, where each turbo feeds one 4 cylinder bank. Last edited by CanAutM3; 03-03-2014 at 11:06 PM.. |

I'm not feeling this new clear color. It's too transparent for my tastes, looks like it would be a PITA to keep clean, not to mention the lack of privacy. I think I'm sticking with MW.

Dang, production has started, and BMW shows YMB and AY yet again?! I was really hoping to get to see these cars in some of the other colors. I know they have been shown in North America in at least three of the (too few) other available colors...but what about AW, MW, SO? And none of these others have been shown in Europe. This was a missed opportunity - BMW - and a big disappointment.

I was remiss however in failing to note the posted photos are super high quality, and appreciated. Thanks Jason!
Just too bad there have already been a bunch of threads of YMB M3s at autoshows, starting with the Detroit show two months ago. And many other threads of interested BMW buyer's intently looking for high quality photos of the cars in other colors. Fail on this one BMW. Okay, I'm beating a dead horse here, but have tickets and a hotel for Geneva, and my high hopes to see (and report on) other colors are still freshly dashed. |
