F80M3/F82M4 perhaps still with 3.2ltr.V6 BiTurbo

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I just wanted to get rid of the information that has been confirmed in a major German Forum for BMW M (with some M-GmbH employees as members), the existence of a quasi 3.2ltr.V6 Biturbo and there are hints that this engine might still manages to F8x.

And to be honest ... vote if the speeds of 8.000rpm, for me everything speaks for the S63Tü derived V6 ... simply because of the given square bore-stroke ratio - a fact which I think is a combination of HDZ and high-pressure turbo at all possible makes! A suitable R6-block (all are long-stroke!) Exists at BMW simply not, so it would also be a complete Neukontruktion in blocks, then with almost zero common parts to the series and certainly more expensive than a derived V6 ... should I ask why with BMW / M-GmbH spend the money, if this engine then at the latest no longer fits on an M version of the GT86-based 2015er Z4

So for me there is only one conclusion when the F8x gets a R6, then it will be a relatively conven ioneles engine ... far from the o.g. Fabled and will not be guaranteed so "independent" tells as always. Then would the F8x rely solely on the lightweight and secure sensational new chassis to generate an "advantage".

Just like I think the F82 M3 will make more than the 420ps posted by many "sources" (I think it'll be between 440-460ps), I also think there is a solid chance its I6 has unique 3200cc displacement. Finally, the redline I reckon will be higher than the M5s 7200rpm. If my gut is correct on all these things, I'll be buying one without considering anything else provided the anticipated driving experience and weight loss are as impressive as widely predicted.

Come on now. There is no V6 coming to the F80/F82.

Care to show me an F80 engine bay with a V6? This is all the confirmation I need.

So the president of BMW NA confirms an inline 6 and it's also seen in that F80 spypic, yet the conspiracy theorists still want to believe v6??

You people need to find something else to dig up for discussion.

Maybe I missed another thread, but it seems like it's only one person, the OP, that is still betting on the V6.

It will be fun reading the reactions once the V6 will be officially announced, if not now with the M3, sometime later.

So if they use a V6 in the F90 M3 in 2022 you'll say, "I told you so"? Sweet jesus...
