I suggest you read the manual a few times so you fully understand this car. There are a ton of settings which differ from a non-M car.

Fuel mileage, the max I have ever gotten in this car is like 250 miles per tank and you got 200 miles on a HALF OF TANK!!!!! If you are worried about MPG or if your going to loose sleep over spending $250-$350 more a year in gas then you bought the wrong car.

Just wait until you are around 13 mpg from fun driving.

Congrats on the car, enjoy it!

It is a significant financial outlay, but hopefully one you are comfortable with. Try not to worry about MPG - there's no way the M can compete with the diesel! haha

Hi, I’m in the uk, typically it was a wet and dull day so had to take it steady, I did floor it in Eco mode briefly which made me smile.
What's ECO mode???

My car has never seen that mode.

Enjoy the new ride OP. Once you go ///M there is no going back!

Yes I am Impressed with almost 193 miles from half a tank, around 32mpg, it was mainly motorway miles at 50/60 and 70mph, the uk now have variable speed cameras the whole stretch on some so no point risking it.

I will post some pictures later

I would LOVE to be the next owner of this car

32 mpg is 7.35 liters per 100km. My friend's Prius doesn't do that

Congrats. You'll love it.

It's a big power jump from your last car so hoon it publicly after practicing privately

This thread has gone on two pages and no pictures.

Congrats on the new ride! It is a big financial decision for sure but yolo lol. Try the sports+ mode and you'll love it. I'm surprised how calm the efficient mode is. It's a different beast in sports+

I live in Toronto and got a lot of snow this year. First snow was a scary ride but since then I intentionally prefer driving in snow. Love it when the back slides lol.

Congrats OP! 40 yr old owner here as well, and the M3 is and was my most expensive vehicle. I've been holding back and being "responsible" my whole life, it was time to follow my heart and take advantage of the rewards that honest work give. Keep those smiles ear to ear and always be humble and grateful for what you are lucky enough to have.

Edit: take the M school and your nervousness will go away. When you see what these cars are capable of you will realize that your daily driving is a cake walk.

This car is more expensive than our first house....took the wife 2 years to wrap her head around that before she "let" me place the order; 6 months later we spent another house on her X5.

Anti-collision is also based on closing speed; I set mine to the lowest setting. US Colorado drivers are the type that you can't leave proper distance in traffic or you will constantly have folks cutting in front of you.

I disagree with those that say turn it off, it's just another feature that may one day save the front end of your beloved car.

Also agree with reading the manual several times; do this in the garage sitting in the car.

Congrats on new ride!

It's like a new pair of shoes, in short time you'll let her rip and just "let go" of your concerns.

I prefer imgur

Congrats on joining the M family. When I first got mine I was a little nervous too since it was a significant jump in HP than my previous daily and significantly more expensive. After awhile though you will settle in as you learn more about the car and it's limits, and the newness wears off.

I dont know how people drive around with that lane departure thing enabled. Besides the distracting yellow lights in the dash the constant wheel vibrations are so annoying. I turned it off the day I got the car.

Do you signal when changing lanes?

Sometimes, depends if anyone is around.

But unless you are a distracted driver who is constantly veering into another lane, I don't see the need for this feature.
