I went to the drag strip for the first time in 7 years for a test and tune night at PBIR. I took my first run after letting the car sit for to long. The computer cut power to the car because of transmission temperature(being to cold I'm guessing) . I used launch control (which didn't work to well with a poorly peeped track) second run I feathered the throttle on launch and shifted manually with DCT it Yielded a 12.7. Third run a friend gave me some pointers including leaving the car in auto mode. Which yielded a 12.2. My reaction time wasn't great but next time I'm sure I can run 11s no problem. Car has full Active Autowerkes exhaust including Downpipe.

120 mph+ in DCT auto mode. Might be a record , nice run! The trap speed is the same as the better stock traps, so you should likely be able to squeeze another mph out of it due to the exhaust mods but man that's a good run.

Seems like it mimics the launch control very well, since they aren't any faster which is a bit strange unless you power braked it? Or maybe it helps to start from idle since any rpm in 1st will lead to wheel spin off the line...

Fantastic trap speed
Are you also running a tune, or is it just the exhaust? |

Well, you should feel good about that launch if you beat LC which is pretty much doing the same thing with auto shifts and MDM style TC. Not sure if LC loads up the drive train though like power braking does, probably not?

Agreed, I'm just not sure if LC apply some brakes to pre-tension the drive train to some degree, I.e power brakes some but I don't think so. 1500 rpm is likely quite optimal with this car as your run validates, and you get that releasing coil effect off the line due to the tension built with power braking
