I haven't test drove either yet and not sure I can answer this on a test drive only.
Thanks
I haven't driven the Z, but I've heard it's almost too much at lower speeds with WOT. The GS is great because it is a z06 minus the supercharger. It doesn't make the power the f8x makes at really low rpm, but I think that makes it more fun. I would go test drive both. You might like the Z06 more for the lunacy factor.
Actually it makes more power and tq than the M4 lol . Even at low rpms, it's called displacement. They make 43x /42x hp/tq stock with over 400 at wheels by 2500 rpm lol and that's on non optimistic dyno's not dyno jets with standard correction factors .
Okay true true, can't argue bold faced facts lol. But, the torque "shove"/turbo feel is stronger than the NA motor. I personally prefer a more linear NA motor like the vette after owning both.

Here's a quick 30 second video I filmed today where I used the launch control feature. What I love about launch control in this is that it's so simple. Put it in track mode, press accelerator with clutch in, let the revs build, release clutch. It's slightly addicting. I'm having a ton of fun with this beast!

Kind of surprised to hear folks are having trouble getting a test drive in a C7.
I stopped by a local dealer this afternoon while out running errands. No appointment. Looked over a '17 Grand Sport 2LT. Talked with the salesman a bit. He asked 'you wanna take a test drive'? At first I declined, as I really just stopped to see one, sit in it, etc.

Granted, it was short drive on city streets, but still impressive. Better ride than I expected. Incredible acceleration, great handling. Heads-up display was nice & unobtrusive.
Only downside, for me, was the visibility. It had small mirrors... but 2 cameras up front & one rear.

I got mine without a test drive - no regrets at all. Better drivers car in every way.

Has anyone on the thread owned all 3 of F80 M3, C6z06, C7GS ?

Curious as to whether c6z or c7gs would be the preferred track weapon

It's gotta be the GS for 99/100 people, no?

I have a 2018 M4 and C6Z. No question the C6Z is way more track capable with the right driver. That being said, my M4 is easier to drive faster in the corners without worry. 2 totally different cars. C6Z is easy and cheap to make insanely fast. High compression (12.5) H/C/I and E85 put me at 640RWHP and 140+ trap speeds in the quarter mile. The M4 is obviously better in every other aspect of driving and is one of my DD's.
