Is that shifter for real? It looks line an aircraft carrier landed in the center console (I didn't even know they could fly!)?

Also: Dear Audi - Everyone started moving away from gluing IPads to their dashboards again last year. Please follow in kind and integrate your screens into the car in a more creative way.

This! Am on waiting list for the RS3. Dealers seem to know nothing about it as of yet, supposedly. Don't mean to hijack. RS3 just seems like a much more valuable / wait worthy vehicle over the RS5 2 door.

Was told at COTA this year that Audi would be moving away from, at least, the screen that folds up/down.

I will definitely test drive. I was an Audi guy for my entire life (34 years up to my F80 purchase) and need to satisfy my curiosity.

With that being said, I ain't never goin' back...

Ditto at it looking better in darker colors versus lighter colors in the M.

Outside of not having a DCT, my other gripe is how the turbo's are located in the V-bank of the engine. I can see this having a potential issue like the S63TU had with heat & the turbo's having to be replaced.

One of my favorite things about our M's are the multiple cooling systems.

I was looking at the last RS5 before getting my M3. It priced out around $80k and it was just after production stopped, so I passed (I did really like it though). As was mentioned this one will be more $$$ than that. That right there excludes it for me, not enough "wow" for the price. Can I even get a leather dash? (yes I actually want some kind of luxury for that price)

And those rims, ugly . All I can think of is the Ford Fusion sport rims

Previous rs5 was beautiful, this looks a bit awkward. Curious to see the performance comparisons.

I have a soft spot for Audi RS models, with the right spec and colour (Nardo grey or Sepang blue) this car will look good.

What do you guys think of the exhaust note in the promo clip?

im happy with all the competition for this segment, but these type of performance cars need something more involving like a proper dct or manual.

i wonder if audi is using a clutch based awd like bmw x drive? I heard that this is what they are doing now.

looks fantastic. I've always loved the minimal Audi design language.

now if they were to work on getting an RS4 stateside i would actually pay attention.

Long-time former Audi guy here as well. Loved the old B8 RS5. Clean, but really aggressive looking, great quality interior, NA V8, etc. Not really digging this last go-round at all.

Isn't 450hp a bit too 2012 for this segment
Not when you can put every single horse to the pavement in all conditions! It is going to be a rocket at that power rating and reduced weight.

Well i wouldn't go as far and say the whole car looks like the Accord coupe, but the wheels definitely seem like they were designed by Honda.

After seeing this, I'm glad BMW designed the 666M wheels the way they did. They look much more special compared to the wheels we see here.

Except we don't only have 425 or 444.

We will have to wait for the Audi on a dyno to see if the engine is underrated as the S55 is from the factory. Why do you think in tests the M3/4 keep up suspiciously well with the C63S, when it should get blown into the weeds.

Still looks like a lot of the engine is out in front of the front axle, doesn't bode well for it.

To be frank it looks like shit... too many lines and creases all over the place. All the black and brushed aluminium contrasts work against it as well... Just too busy a design and a massive let down from the gen 1 Audi A5 which was a beaut (muscular yet elegant).

For me Merc's AMG coupe takes this coupe trophy this round.
BMW M3 takes the sedan trophy this round (haven't seen the Alfa in person yet) The Audi is already a forgotten contender in my mind.
I have to disagree with you there - the C63 Coupe look like a$$. M4 and RS5 are much better looking...

If Audi was to totally revamp the body style maybe then it will be an alternative to the F8X, until then it will still look like their older version. Nice tech and motor but Ill still pass on it
