we barely get winter in this town. I have daily driven my F80 through 2.5 winters now. the odd day it is mildly dicey, but on those days it is dicey enough that even an AWD car with snow tires would find some challenges. I say drive it year round - otherwise you miss out on months of great driving fun.

same as you. Maybe it is my saskie roots, but I find Calgary winters to be pretty mild - frankly, 85% (or more) of the time I am driving on clear pavement, melted by salt and/or Chinooks. The few days I have to drive on snowier roads they are quite passable.
(and I live in a very hilly community. winter tires are a must and I usually have a sandbag in the trunk for traction, but the car is very drivable in our winters in my not remotely humble opinion ) biggest issue with driving here is the size of the rocks in the gravel that is used - be prepared for a few pings in the windshield.....but that is why we have insurance, right? second biggest issue (at least with my TB car) is keeping it clean on snow/melt cycles....but whatever. I'd still personally rather drive a dirty car than not drive this car.

I DD my M3 too and I'm in Calgary. I have decent winter tires and it's sufficient I haven't gotten stuck or anything. Mind you there were some iffy days but I made it through unscathed. I remember driving one day from the west side to Chestermere and it was snowing pretty badly. Just went 80kph and it was fine. Most of the other days, the roads are pretty clear and driving isn't an issue.
The only thing I hate is when you try to give it some gas with the winters on and then TC comes on. Boo! Lol

These tires are next level and definitely overkill for city driving; its the BC road trips where they shine |

let me know if anyone is interested. I am open to all serious buyers across Canada. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/...ationFlag=true Thanks Roy |

I'm looking for an exhaust as well, maybe even a stock ZCP exhaust. I decided to keep my M4 for one more year so I got a OBDII flash tune coming , some new wheels. I have been reading that the tune dramatically changes the car to the point that you will fall in love with the M4 all over again. Let me know what you have for sale. Thx

My opinion is that if you’re going to spend the money on aftermarket wheels, they should be more aggressive than stock. Yours are pretty narrow, relatively, and would be a nice aggressive setup on an F3x. On an F8x, the fronts are narrower and the rears are the same width - no improvement over stock.
