UPDATE 9/09
Group buy pricing is now announced and in the feeler phase. Please go to the following link, say you are interested, and build your preferred package. There is no commitment to buy just because you say you are interested. Everything is not 100.00% set in stone. Some things could be modified before it goes live. Make sure you pay attention to the dates too so you know when the deal will go live.
Also even if you took the survey, you still have to go to the groupbuy website and build your package.



UPDATED 8/22 with few questions that have come up
-You can NOT get the wheels only as part of the group buy. However, they are willing to have a lot of tire options. If you want a specific tire, please mention it in the survey. It is likely that you will be able to get it.
-This group buy will be available to Canadian buyers as well.

I am looking for a square set up 18'.

From looking at last year's thread, I think most people wanted a square set up with the majority choosing 18s and the rest 19s.
Some of the popular choices wheel wise seemed to have been the Rial P10, BBS SR, or Apex EC 7.

Not to get too specific, but looking for: 18x9 Apex EC-7 ET31 in Anthracite with 255/40R 18 Dunlop Winter Sport 3D tires. Square setup.

I like the Apex EC7 more than he BBS SR pattern wise and also bc they are a little wider 9' vs 8' respectively. Downside is that tire rack doesn't seem to carry the Apex but they carry the BBS SSR and i haven't found a place yet which sell the apex, tpms, and tires and will mount and balance them (to avoid multiple shipping costs and mounting fee).

P.s. I was looking at some pictures of YMB with anthracite vs black EC7. I think I am leaning toward the black set but still kind of torn. What do you guys think looks better?

I think it would be either 245 or 255, if you went with a 265 winter then that would be wider than your front summer tire which is 255(non comp package)

Thx, I have a ZCP M4 but I do agree that a narrower width is better for the winter. I currently have a set of 18" winter wheels with 245 tires for my E92 M3.

One thing I never got around too with my E92 were spacers with my winter wheels and I always found they looked too skinny. What spacers would you guys recommend with the EC7 wheels?

I called Dan's old extension this morning but i thought the name in the voice mail said John. Then i called the main EAS sales line and they had me on hold for 20 min so just hung up. Since you will contact EAS I can try to call tire rack on monday to see what kind of pricing they could offer. We also need to come up with some tire choices eventually too but no rush.

I want to get the Apex ones too, 18 x 9 ET 31. With the YMB i agree, i think the black ones look a little bit better.
My car is Sakhir Orange and I am leaning towards the anthracite ones.

I also like the BBS but prefer EC7. Thanks for the color advice! I'm even more decided on the black ones now.

Happy to sell you mine. Factory OEM set used for half a winter this past year. 1500km road use. Rims perfect and no issues with tires.
